We currently have 2 dogs, a bichon (Reilly Coyote) and Sean Michael (a mini dachshund), along with 2 zebra finches, Edgar Allan Poe & Mickey Spillane. Reilly is 3, Sean is 4.

Prior to that we had a Great Pyr (Lillie), a large dachshund (Jojo), a bassett (Rosie), and two other birds, Cheech & Chong.

I have always had dogs. And up until I remarried, horses. I've never had a cat, although only because I am allergic to them not because I don't like them.

I find my/our pets bring a rhthym (routine) to our day, and a comfort! Lots of laughter. They are pretty well behaved, although not as well behaved as our big dogs were.

Good morning! I've been a little sporadic posting on the menu thread - lots going on since we arrived in Florida. But I read as often as I can!

And although I have been maintaining at the weight I was at the beginning of the month I haven't made any progress in dropping it back into my previously preferred range.

QOTD: Right now we just have Justice, an almost 4 year old chihuahua we adopted from the shelter about 10 months ago. He is the best dog ever! At home my son has Lavender in our house, a one year old cat he adopted from the shelter there. Over my lifetime, I've had 3 beagles, 4 cats, 1 bird, a few hamsters and a few fish. At this point in life I prefer dogs but love cats too. The rest never felt like family members like dogs and cats do.

2 Years 9.5 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 2 years, 1.5 months)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Deli chicken and cottage cheese

D: Fish of some sort - going to a local fish restaurant

S: sweetened cottage cheese

Good morning! The casino was a bust last night, lost my money. My mom walked out $10 ahead so she was happy. I don't want to go back again for awhile, so I might have to plan something for my mother this Friday to steer clear of that place:-)

Not much planned today, it is cold and extremely foggy. I believe all flights within a 100 mile radius were canceled last night. It is snowing now. We get these bad inversions that even affect our air quality due to the wood burning stoves. Unfortunately, a lot of people around that lake have only that to keep warm. Thank goodness for electric heat in my home.

QOTD-I have always had crazy Pomeranians, I love them. They have always been rescued Poms, so they seem to come with a little baggage. I think that is why I love them so much, they remind me of myself:-) My dearest Sage died from an allergic reaction to a bee sting about 6 years ago. 3 months later I adopted Emmy from the same shelter/foster care. She has been my constant companion ever since. I would love to have a whole barn yard of animals if I could, sheep, goats, cows, donkeys and chickens!

B-1/3 cup granola, coffee

L-Greek yogurt with dark cherries and pecans

S-Hot tea, jerky or string cheese

D-Left over bean and ham soup

E-Not sure today

Have a wonderful Saturday!
