I have praying and reading over my notes. Trying to understand the benefit of me having this the good outweighed the bad

Yes, i'm Still scared, but back on the path. My mom is very vocal against it and this is making the pre op diet even harder and what waivered my resolve. I stumbled onto this forum by chance and am so grateful I did. The what to bring to the hospital--so helpful. People's stories have bolstered my resolve.

How are you doing with your eating? Or you drinking shakes all day?

Good morning Annie and friends! It is cold here too, but not clear. Very, very foggy and so extremely dreary! I had a good hike with Emmy yesterday, but struggled a little more than usual. I hope that was a one time thing.

Today is Friday, so that means taking my mom to the casino. I dread it and look forward to it at the same time. I will leave all my cards at home and take only a small amount of cash. This is the best way I can think of in dealing with this. When summer comes I can hike while she gambles!:-)

QOTD-I know I can't do anything about my nose without surgery, but I try. It is the first thing I notice in the mirror and in pictures. I use highlighters and contouring colors to try and give it a smaller appearance. I think it would help with self esteem to change it, but I don't see that ever happening. So for now I just live with it and accept it.

B-1/3 cup granola, bullet coffee

L-Fried eggs

S-Hot tea, jerky or string cheese

D-Ham and bean soup I have been trying to make for the past week, it is truly done this time.

E-Hike with Emmy at local state park

Have a wonderful Friday!

I think your nose looks fine, but then again, I think mine doesn't. We are all very hard on ourselves. I make a terrific split pea and ham soup -- a tasty thing on a hot day. Eggs are always iffy....sometimes they are amazingly happy with me and sometimes a mistake.

Just hanging out with the dogs and Jim -- not even crocheting today!

I had 1/2 c cottage cheese with sugar free jello

i am on day 6 of pre op diet 800 calories a day, 3 protein shakes only 2 solid protein sources a day (cottage cheese, yogurt, chicken or fish)no fats, no butter, no oil. First 2 days were horrible, headaches and dizzy, but it got better after that, just hungry. But tomorrow is all liquid protein shakes and broth, gelatin etc. even though I started before to cut down the calories before I wasn't ready for the effect.
