Good morning, all, and happy Saturday. This is my last weekend of "real" vacation. Technically school doesn't start until the 14th for me, but I gain access to my courses on the 7th so I'll be able to start some work on Monday even if not full speed ahead. Lance and I are planning to see Escape Room today (which looks like The Cube with a bigger budget) and I think that's really all I have firmly planned for the weekend. Hopefully I'll spend some time with my book so I can fini**** and its sequel before school starts for real! I read the first one during my mid-Fall break, which was poor planning on my part. :P

QOTD: Do you tend to dwell in the past, focus on the future, or live in the present?

1: protein shake
2: leftover meaty spaghetti sauce
3: lemon-ginger meatballs, rice for the guys

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: maybe a run after the movie, but probably yoga at home due to weather. I hope to run tomorrow - it'll be my first run for the year.

How about you?

QOTD: I think I tend to do a mixture of all three. Most of the time, though, I'm firmly rooted in the present. I'd say I'm maybe 80% present, 10% past, and 10% future. These days it's even more present-focus, because I find that school doesn't really allow me to do much else. This can be problematic because I'd like to be able to do a bit more planning and preparation for the future!

Enjoying my Saturday! I tend to live in the present, plan for the future. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not here... live this day to the fullest. Doing some housework, hanging pictures , well watch my husband hang pictures... lol, do some baking. I weighed this morning and lost 2 lbs. this week!! YAY! That is 10 lbs in last 5 weeks! Feeling better about my journey. :)

Morning! Or...afternoon, I guess! We got home from the beach last night around 9:30pm and I flew out of bed this morning to grocery shop before the masses joined me. My classes start on Monday, and I have access to one so I'm hoping to get that class planned out at least.

QOTD: I'm future-oriented. I tend to always need something to be looking forward to.

My food today:

  • Coffee w/ Heavy Cream
  • Roltini Roll-up and Babybel (on my way out the door)
  • Salad: Iceberg, cauliflower, cucumber, avocado, cheese, turkey & ranch
  • Salmon & sweet potato
  • A protein bar or crispbread w/ peanut butter or cream cheese

Good morning! Enjoy your last weekend of vacation Gwen! I loved The Cube, so I would probably like the Escape Room. I might go see Vice this weekend, looks very good! I thought we were going to have sun, but no such luck. Just a normal dreary and cold day:-)

Took my mom to the casino last night. I was down to my last $10 put it in a machine and won all my money back and walked out. I think I am walking a thin line here and have to be very mindful, I don't need a transfer addiction right now.

QOTD-Very good question Gwen. I am working hard at staying in the present, it takes meditation for me to do so and change my thinking. I am probably 60% in the now, 30% in the past and 10% in the future.

B-1/3 cup granola

L-1/2 cup 5% Fage with 1/2 cup blueberries and 2tbsp pecans

S-Hot tea

D-tbd, have to get groceries today.

Have a lovely Saturday!

Hello all- I finished my masters degree about 2 years ago. I thought I would never be done! Although I never thought I would go back to school- I'm glad I did and, I'm glad I completed it. Sometimes I feel I have so much free time- who knows how I managed on that little amount of sleep! Always up writing papers or studying. We do what we have to when we need! Good luck to everyone in school!

QOTD: I try to focus on the present and aim for the future. I think everyone has been stuck in the past for some reason or another. For me it's truly unhealthy to focus on what happened in the past - it will only cause me to remain stagnant.
