That's a tough one Yvonne (having a fight be the last memory with your mother).

I am glad your colonoscopy went well. I'm not due to go for another 8 years thankfully, but DD is having one on 1/9.

Hi VSGers. I'm back to the daily menu thread. I have no idea what I weigh and I don't want to know. I'm recommitting to getting my ideal body back. No more grazing on crap food.

QOTD: Well, since this is a magical thinking question, I would be born into a loving healthy family.

Food today:

Bacon

blueberries

Green veggie smoothie

Make chicken Marsala tonight for family and I will eat the leftovers tomorrow

I'm sorry you didn't have the family you needed growing up. I hope you have made one of your own since then through marriage and/or friendships.

Welcome back btw! Tis the season to have a lot of crap around so it is a real challenge.

Good morning! Hope all goes smooth for your day of travel Liz and DH adjusts quickly without difficulty. Back on the east coast for Christmas, enjoy Liz!

I'm not feeling very energized today. I never take naps and I took 2 of them yesterday, it didn't help that the rain never stopped until late. I'm going to make Russian tea cakes today, they are also called Mexican Wedding Cakes and snowballs. Lots of butter and powder sugar! They are going directly into the freezer:-)

QOTD-Staying in my hometown after nursing school and not moving to Colorado, this is what I would change.

B-1/3 cup granola, bullet coffee

L-Greek yogurt with fruit and pecans

S-Hot tea

D-Stuffed baked potato, insides for me.

E-Late walk with Emmy

Have a lovely Wednesday!

Russian tea cakes? I make almond balls which some people make out of walnuts. They are finely ground almonds, LOTS of butter, a little flour, rolled in powdered sugar after baking. Similar?

Just about identical, just swap out the ground almonds for chopped pecans, yum!

B: Greek Yogurt parfait

L: Salmon and Grilled Veggies over mixed greens

D: Shrimp chopped salad

S: dunno

If I could change one thing, it would be the decision to have kids. I love my boys and they're wonderful guys, but I was happier and less stressed before becoming a parent. I think I could have lived a fulfilling life without being a parent.

How old are your boys now? Being a parent is definitely stressful AND hard work.
