Good morning all and happy Tuesday! Today I'm planning on doing my GERO final exam and running. Aside from that, I think I'll be working on my HMGT final assignment. It'll be a good day for productivity.

I'm also excited since I got a few "just because" gifts for some friends and those are being delivered today. I'm looking forward to hearing that the gifts have arrived!

QOTD: How do you keep active when it's super cold outside? What do you consider "super cold" anyway? (I'll answer in a comment.)

1: protein shake
2: scrambled eggs (I've ended up doing eggs a lot for lunches recently)
3: leftovers of some sort - asian meatballs if there are any left still.

exercise: running, yoga stretching

Good morning. Just had my biometric health screening and apparently, I am the picture of good health! Yay. It's brutally cold here today - maybe 18 when I left the house. My remote starter wouldn't work because I had less than 5 gallons of gas in the tank. Ugh. The just because gifts sound like a nice idea. I go out with girlfriends once a month and one of the husbands named us the Real Housewives of Woburn. I ordered everyone a wine glass from Bravo that said, "Real Housewives of Woburn." they were a bit hit.

QOTD: my rule of thumb is 30 or greater outside for walking. 18 didn't actually feel that bad today because there was no wind. It is cold tho!!!

E: I'll try to walk alot inside the building. Have been getting pretty good steps lately and already hit my mark to reduce my health insurance premium for the quarter.

QOTD: Well, I'm currently wearing two layers of Under Armour ColdGear top and bottom, so I guess that's how I keep active - all the cold weather gear. It's pretty awesome that gear is so thin these days, so I don't feel like the Michelin man :) Running is the only activity I really do outside, though, so it's the only one that has to be modified. I did join a gym during the summer due to all of the ridiculous weather and rain, and I've kept that membership in case I decide to retreat inside during the winter. We'll see. Running outside is better than running inside, but running inside is better than not running at all.

Super cold, for me, is anything in the 30s or lower. That's when I need to start thinking about layering clothes for running.

Edit: I forgot the important part of being in the cold! I've had some Raynaud's in my left nipple since reconstructive surgery, so I also wear boob warmers :P

It's 24 in NC. QOTD: How do you keep active when it's super cold outside? What do you consider "super cold" anyway? Fleece leggings, thermal shirt under regular shirt, two pair of socks. Our cold is very damp and chills to the bone, so I avoid going outside as it makes my diabetic neuropathy over the top. Fortunately I have stuff to do in actively inside.

Food: Haven't a clue. I feel yukky.

Good morning all! It will be in the 50s today and I am excited to not feel like I'm going to freeze to death. Busy busy day today. Kittens went in to be fixed this morning, with a friend helping her, dr appointment across town to schedule an ekg, then back to pick up kittens.

QOTD: I go to the gym so it's not cold there. I can't stand to walk the neighborhood sub 45 degrees F.
