Need recommendations on good vitamins. My surgeon just said I need to take 1500 mg of Calcium Citrate daily with Vitamin D and a Daily Multivitamin.

And for at least a month they need to be chewable.

Recommendations Please....

I used bariatric advantage during my chewable phase. Their calcium chews were tasty and a nice "dessert" at the end of a meal.

I use bariatric advantage chewable multivitamin in fruit and a calcium citrate chew in caramel.

Not a bad taste and easy to chew. I get mine at Kaiser pharmacy. However, you can find them online as well.

I use pro-care with 18 mg of iron for my multi. My labs are absolutely perfect and it's one capsule a day.

For the month following surgery I used Flintstones complete because they were readily available, and my surgeon wasn't concerned about vitamin deficiencies within a month- plus they pumped me full of vitamins in the hospital before I was released. I used a bariatric advantage chewable calcium at first too but I absolutely could not wait to switch- I hated the taste. I switched to Walgreens calcium petites +D as soon as I could.

For calcium, I started with the Bariatric Advantage "chewy bites." You'll need to take 3 of them in a day to get your 1500mg. Once I was good with regular pills, I switched to the Walgreen's generic calcium citrate pills, also three a day.

For the multi, I take the generic version of Centrum women 50+. They also have a chewable version that I used for the first month or so.

In addition the multi and calcium, I take extra iron since I tend to run low on that front. I like the carbonyl iron, since it doesn't cause any constipation.
