I had VSG on 10/26/18 and have advanced to the High Protein phase of my new stomach. I can't have fruits or vegetables yet until 8 weeks out, so looking for some suggestions of your favorite recipes or foods for those who have made it through this part in their journey :-)

A website that really helped me find my favorites is Theworldaccordingtoeggface.com, she has some post op recipes that are amazing and she also had WLS.

Salsa Verde, or Hatch Chili salsa pressure cooked with chicken breast. Eat it just as it is in a bowl!

4oz ground turkey made into 3-4 meat balls (I didn't use anything for the meat balls, jsut rolled the meat into a ball, so no eggs or bread crumbs). One baby bel cut into pieces and stuffed in the middle and baked

The baby bel might override that turkey dryness.

granted, after making it, i get rid of additional "juice", as it doesn't sit well. over 3 years out and can't do liquid when or within 45 minutes of eating . . . . .

one of the things i tried is a pumpkin pie receipe on obesityhelp.com. lots of protein, no sugar, soft and very little fat or carbs. i am 2 months post op. have lost 79 lbs. i can't tolerate anything dry so i cook protein in a crock pot. i like low fat cottage cheese and also fat free refried beans and i put fat free cheese in them and micro wave it.
