VSG in 3 days, any advice for what to take to the hospital?

I definitely overpacked! The only thing I used from my pack was my own slippers to walk the halls and chap stick. I had herbal tea, a few flavors of broth, Outshine popsicles(no sugar added) and the clear protein drink required by my surgeon(Isopure) for when I was discharged. Good luck on the 29th, you will do great!

Mark me down as one of the over-packers.

Of all the things I brought with me to hospital (which was alot), I only used:

  • toothbrush/toothpaste (obvious reasons)
  • face cream (dry skin)
  • lip balm (dry lips)
  • Biotene (dry mouth)
  • Crocs (walking halls and going to washroom)

I can say I used my longer phone charger as well, but I rarely used my phone so I probably didn't need that either.

How do you feel now, since you had your surgery?

Mostly sore. LOL.

Take a look at my blog posts I've got some detailed "How do I feel" notes, if you are interested :)

I had my surgery on 9/27/2018. I highly recommend getting up out of bed ASAP and washing up, putting on some comfortable pajamas and getting rid of that awful hospital gown. I felt so much better!
