6 week update
I've been kinda down lately with my 3 week slump turning into 5 weeks with no weightloss. But I'm happy to say week 6 and I'm starting to go down again. I went from my highest weight of 336 prepreop diet to 312 preop to now 284 6 weeks out. It's definitely a process especially once you start introducing soft foods. It's weird how your mind says 2 eggs is nothing and then your stomach says nope you're only getting one or 3 crackers with tuna. My entire outlook on food has changed. I see now what my husband eats and his portion sizes are and I'm like wow I used to eat like that, all starches potatoes, rice, pasta, bread. No wonder I couldn't lose weight and that is the normal food not including takeout. I still occasionally over eat now by a bite or 2 and jeeze you learn real quick with that. Theres nothing like a gorilla sitting on your chest from that last bite you thought would fit. I'm also learning that while something looks great it doesn't mean that I love it now. I prefer tea when I used to live on caffeine 8 cups a day minimum.... that pizza that the husband ordered that I stole some toppings off of because I was weak is now greasy and gross you can feel the fat roll around your mouth. I didn't know how impacting really this surgery would be. I assumed that hey I'd just eat less but no it changes your life, your mindset and your taste buds. I'm thankful to all of you guys for the support and say to all the newbies out there that it gets easier and better as time goes on.
Well that's it! It's a shock to get used to for sure but like you said I'm healthy, clear headed and energetic so you really didn't need those old portions.
An alternative to crackers for your tuna is a slice of apple to put it on. Avoid the "slider" carbs as much s you can!
Congratulations on being someone who perseveres and you are so well on the way!

For tuna, I'm a fan of just a fork :)

It's a difficult process but well worth it! I'm just glad to have all of this support on here. If you need a weightloss buddy let me know it's always great to be in contact with someone that's going through the same thing at the same time
Sure! Sounds good.
