Hi guys! Kicked off the start of the week by sleeping in late and I'm happy with my choice haha. Heading to the prison after a workout.

QOTD: I absolutely love fall, but in SC it's still hella hot. Yesterday was 93 and we were out at Ry's soccer game melting. But once it gets here I will whip out the scarves and jackets! We always go on at least one nature hike once the leaves change, this year that will be much easier for me!

B - coffee and protein

L - pb&j and grapes

D - feta slaw & protein bar

(I'm in a challenging adjustment period as I move toward a plant-based maintenance diet. I know vegetarianism isn't popular here, but it's what feels right for me)

Good luck on your diet, Jess. Most people that speak against it just worry about the protein, but there are a lot of benefits to going plant based that aren't just health related. I know I couldn't do it, I'm not nearly clever enough to make vegetarianism work for me. Plus I'm a selfish, heathen meat eater

Haha! No judgements on meat eaters here! It's definitely a personal choice. When I ate vegetarian in the past it was never in a very healthful way, so I'm having to educate myself on how to do this thing properly. I'd like to go fully plant-based at some point, but ditching meat is stressful enough on its own! I'm hitting the store today and I've got a better plan together for the coming week, including more plant proteins. I know I've got to take in more plant based protein than I would meat due to the way our bodies process them, so it's a challenge! I'm just trying to be patient with myself as I figure it out instead of focusing on perfection! A slightly added pressure is that my kids want to go veggie too, so I've got their health in my hands. Thanks for the well wishes!

Fall is finally going to get her later this week...highs in the 50s! I can't wait. Fall is my favorite time of year!

QOTD: Already have my "Fall For Autumn" tea collection! I'm all about fall decor, Halloween, and Thanksgiving! I also can't get enough pumpkin-based recipes...coffee, desserts (keto approved, of course), and all that goes with them. I bought my fall/Halloween outdoor decorations 2 months ago! They go out next week :)

Mersh, enjoy your time off!

Jess says Yes -- NC is like NC -- still feeling like late August!

QOTD: Are you all in fall mode yet I would like to be but at 80+ every day, its not feeling like fall. I'm originally from the Pacific NW and love fall weather. I looked at the LLBean catalog with sweaters and corduroy and flannel -- sigh...so I guess my favorite fall thing is crockpot meals on the screened in porch in the crisp air.

B: canadian bacon, 1/4 homemade waffle

L: Tortellini with marinara and shreded chicken

S: graham cracker with peanut butter

D: Chobani greek yogurt

Premier protein shake in lots of coffee....

Feeling fat today -- who knows why. Wait is pretty stable 123-126.

S: 4 oz nonfat plain greek yogurt with a drizzle of honey

L: 3 oz chicken parmesan from Trader Joe's

S: 1 oz steak jerky

D: 3 oz flat iron steak with fajita veggies and cheese, maybe 1/4 avocado if ripe
