Seeing cookies in the pavement
I've been doing 1-2 walks per day to and around the park in my neighborhood while recovering from surgery. This afternoon on my walk I had the sudden, visceral idea that the cracks in the blacktop path looked exactly like the cracks in the moist, chewy molasses cookies my grandma used to make and my mouth started watering. I don't think I've had a cookie similar to that in over a decade.
Clearly, having some sugar cravings. On the plus side, I was able to let the thought of the cookies go, where before surgery I might have continued to fixate and obsess until I got in the car in search of similar cookies.
On an a (somewhat) unrelated note, I rnoticed this afternoon that my sweat has a very weird, pungent scent to it that I'm not used to. I read online that bodily secretions can smell different when you go into ketogenesis. So, maybe that's what's happening.

It's really fun going out the morning after Halloween when there are -actual- candy wrappers on the sidewalk :P

Isn't that so weird about the sweat? I feel so self conscious at the gym and reapply deodorant throughout the day because I feel like I smell differently now, too.
Lol @ the cookies. I don't think I've ever had a molasses cookie.

You can buy test sticks at the drugstore that will test if you're in ketosis. That might help solve the mystery!
