I would recommend smiling and nodding... and then to keep doing what you're doing :)

Well, I dropped 100 lbs in 6 weeks and 200 in 6 months and 310 in one year. It was quick, Dr's were surprised but not alarmed. Just told me stay hydrated and keep up on my protein and supplements, it worked itself out. I will say I felt like crap for a while, but if you really feel like $&^T. Then talk to them about that calories and whatnot or get another opinion somewhere.

Good luck

I also got the side eye from the physician assistant at my 6 week post op appointment. She said the weight loss would probably slow down since I lost so much right after surgery. And... it has. I am now eating between 300-400 calories and they want me to eat between 600-800. Then she said I will eventually eat 1000-1200 for maintenance.

I am a little concerned that I won't reach that because I'm still getting full very easily and it takes me forever to eat two ounces. However, I focus on meeting protein goal, water, exercise and vitamins. Keep reaching for those goals and the weight loss will follow.

You have done amazing so far. Can't wait to follow along on your journey.

I hit goal about 6 months out -- as long as you are getting your protein, your vitamins and staying hydrated; as long as you are getting a bit more energy than right after surgery....

I am (seemingy) maintaining at 1200 calories and no, I have not exercised yet. retirement is a full time job some weeks.

This happened to me, I lost like 50 lbs in about 2 months right after surgery. It eventually slowed down, but my sleeve still worked.

I would say stick to your liquid and protein intake.
