Whatcha Eating Today, VSGers? Sunday 9/9/18
on 9/9/18 4:40 am
Good morning all. Weekend is almost over and I hope it was a good one for everyone! Just one day of work left and I'm free for the week. Yay! I need to start shopping around for snow boots. I know it's early, but I want to have them ready. I have never had a pair and I always regret not getting them.
QOTD: What are some of your NSV from this week?
Mine- I utilized a coping mechanism my therapist taught me. Writing a letter to myself or the person/people affecting me negatively. A bit like journaling, only more focused.
Breakfast- Sausage, 2 eggs
Lunch- Turkey meatballs, cauliflower rice, turkey gravy
Dinner- chicken, cottage cheese
snacks- almonds, danon light and fit
Good morning. Busy weekend. we have been cleaning out the room that was the "landing zone" during kitchen remodel - turned into a major project. Put shelving into closet, new updated room door, going to paint, brought down kitchen items from bedroom upstairs. I'm exhausted, lol.
QOTD: I guess just stamina and being able to stand/walk do projects without any physical stress
B: mini waffles
L: leftover chicken chow mein
D: idk
E: walk for sure, it's downright chilly today - on the downside i can't find my fit*****arger : /
L/V: expected to be fine. I drink alot during the day

Hahaha, this is my "problem" with home improvement projects. They're never, ever as quick, easy, and limited as you intend them to be :D

I had a great day yesterday! Today I woke up early and putzed around a bit. Now I'm done putzing so I'm going to finish the last two replies I have for school. I'll Skype with my mom later and then Lance and I are going out to see Searching. And more sleeving of Fantasy Flight Games. I've finished the Arkham Horror Card Game and Elder Sign. I'm almost finished with Eldritch Horror and then it's just the Arkham Horror Board Game. Then I'll consider Talisman and Dominion..
QOTD: I ran 11 miles on Tuesday, and I didn't die. So I think I'll be okay to do my half marathon on the 16th assuming we don't get hurricaned out. I also got a PR at my 5k on Saturday!!!! My previous fastest time was 50:07 and I did it yesterday in 47:11!! Totally unexpected too. Woo!!
1: protein shake
2: leftover egg bite maybe?
3: Baked Flounder Fillets in Lemon-Soy Vinaigrette (Art is off gaming, so it's fish night!), asparagus

Good Sunday Morning, peeps.
Mersh, you must be looking forward to that time off. Have fun shopping!
I'm planning on a quiet, but hopefully productive, day today. Housework, laundry, and cooking. I had a good time with the family yesterday. Ended up eating more than I originally planned, but in a good way. Got in 110g protein without overeating.
QOTD: Yesterday I wore a pair of jeans that I couldn't fit into 2 months ago, and they were on the baggy side. I also had a moment of weakness where I almost said "f*ck it" and ate a piece of pizza. Instead I scrapped off the cheese and toppings as planned. Turned out I didn't miss the crust one bit.
But my biggest NSV last week was reaching out for help when I needed it, something I don't usually do.
Food today:
Breakfast: Quest bar
Lunch: 2oz Gruyere cheese, 33g Genoa salami
Snack: 2oz shredded chicken with cream cheese (a modified "crack chicken" recipe, with less cream cheese, less ranch powder, and no bacon)
Dinner: same as snack
Calories: 770; Protein: 81g; Total Carbs: 27.6g; Net Carbs: 7.6g; Fat: 42.7g.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, everyone.

Hi All! When you live in snow country Mersh a good pair of boots is very important and I'd be looking now also if I were you in order to get a nice pair you will be happy with.
QOTD: What are some of your NSV from this week? Hmm I've had a lot of them lately from being able to cross my legs in a very normal fashion lol. I think an NSV that I noticed and was surprised about was when a very good looking (older than me lol) Doctor in great shape whom I have seen many times in the clinic I was at, was actually flirting with me and I thought WOW I must be lookin a lot better! LOL it made me smile and stand a little straighter.

Mersh, good morning! Enjoy your week off. My youngest (34) is going to nursing school, raising 2 kids and working full time so I know she enjoys a rest!
I had a busy Thursday & Friday traveling to take things up to daughter, and then stayed with another daughter and we went out to dinner and to Michaels for Halloween stuff...always fun. She posed the question "what do mom's do whose kids don't like them, or who they don't like? We're all such good friends". Tickled me.
QOTD: What are some of your NSV from this week? I was able to drive7 hours by myself without being tired or getting blood sugar issues; I could go to a Greek restaurant and make good choices, and came home 1 lb down after travel.
FYI, I have 4 adult kids - one boy, 3 girls...and 5 grands. :)
