Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Tuesday, 9/4/2018
Hi all! We got back from our family of four beach trip last night. It was a fantastic getaway. The weather was beautiful and we got lots of quality time together. I was much more active than I ever was on past trips. There was a half-mile long boardwalk to get to the beach and instead of stressing over the walk I was able to enjoy it because the surrounding were absolutely gorgeous! (below is a picture Nick captured of it with his drone). Now back to reality. My morning meeting was canceled today, so the fates are showing me mercy as I get over the post-vacation hump.
QOTD: I really love NYC and Chicago and San Francisco, etc. I love going out to musical theatre, visiting museums, going to great restaurants, taking in the architecture, and exploring! That being said, after about a week I start feeling a powerful urge to get back to nature. I grew up in the country and swore I would head for the city, but it turns out I was full of it. I like the quiet, the fresh air, the trees, the water, and I need to be able to see the stars! So if I had to be stuck in one or the other, California coast here I come!
B - coffee and protein
L - yogurt and almonds

Happy Tuesday! I'm jealous you went to see Hamilton, I've been trying to convince Mike to go see it with me. Today was my first day back to work. Just staff meetings and working in our classrooms. Nothing exciting but felt good to get back into a routine.
QOTD - I love New York City but not sure I would want to live there. I have never been to California but have always wanted to go. I'm an in-between kind of girl where I love the city with things to do but I also love the beach and beautiful sights. So I need to have some of both!
B - coffee and protein
L - Salad with chicken, feta cheese, apples, craisins
D - Steak in the air fryer, brown and wild rice mixed with veggies, and broccoli and cheese mashed cauliflower
I recommend finding someone else to see it with you if you can't convince Mike. It's an amazing show :D

QOTD: Definitely the isolated town. I am not a city dweller! It's a nice place to visit, but I would never want to live there.

QOTD: Definitely small town...but I'm not a coastal person, I'd prefer a mountain lake. I'd want to be close enough to go to a big city for shows, shopping, etc, but wouldn't want to live in one (anymore, grew up in St Louis, that was enough!)
B: Yogurt w/crunchy peanut butter, coffee w/cream and xylitol
