Whatcha Eating Today, VSGers? Monday, September 3, 2018
It's very early but I thought I'd go ahead and start the thread. It's Labor Day in the United States today, and many people are off work for the holiday. I hope those of you who got a long weekend are having some fun and maybe a great BBQ! No celebrations here, I forgot today was even a holiday until a few hours ago.
QOTD: In honor of Labor Day, if you could earn a good living doing any job in the world, what job would you choose?
I would be an entertainer--singer or actress or something like that. I've always wanted to do that but never had the chance. Singing for friends is the closest I've ever gotten!
M1: Yogurt w/crunchy peanut butter, coffee w/cream and xylitol
M2: Taco bowl--taco meat, shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes
M3: Depending on how late I stay up, maybe turkey sausage snack sticks, Swirls cheese sticks, and I may treat myself to an apple today (not keto, but once in a while gotta have an apple!)
Water and vites on track
How about you?

Good morning! I am getting ready to get off work and it has been a busy night. I like busy nights because my Fitbit is proud of me.
QOTD: Painting! I love watercolors so much. I wanted to go to the Art Institute out of high school, but whoa the prices.
I plan to eat some chicken wings and steak today to celebrate the Holiday!
Breakfast- sausage with 2 eggs
Lunch- Cajun hot bone in wings
Dinner- KC strip cooked rare
Snacks- If I don?t over indulge in wings, yogurt and kiwi and cottage cheese
Totals- 1185 calories, 30g carbs,106g protein
good morning. We are back home after virtually two weeks in the forest. I miss it already but it's nice out right now -and supposed to be in the 90s today and tomorrow. ugh.
QOTD: at this point in life i would either be a travel agent or a front desk clerk at a hotel - just for the travel benefits! And the fun. My son used to work front desk at a hotel and met tons of interesting people, including celebrities.
B: i think some cottage cheese
L: fresh corn
D: steak
E: cleaning out the room that has become the landing zone of crap and removing all the food/etc from the rv now that we are home. In 90 degrees, that's enough.
L/V: good

Great question, Cathy! And so appropriate for today.
I went to my late sister's little farm yesterday to pick up a few of her special things that my brother-in-law offered me. She passed in 2012 and I still miss her every single day. She was my only sibling, and the only close relative I had left. And the only one who lived my childhood with me and got it. Anyway, he got re-married about a year and a half ago. I am so happy to see him happy! The death of his soul-mate in such a horrible way (cancer) nearly destroyed him. But I was really taken aback at how chilly and aloof his wife was towards me, and really shocked at how cold his step-daughter (I think) was towards me. I said to her "Hi, I'm Teresa!" and she just said "hey" and walked past me. Very weird. I don't understand it, but I'm not going to waste any time fretting about it. At least not any more time than I already have. I also picked organic Italian Prunes off his tree...the poor thing was buckling under the weight of all the prunes. I did four passes around it, and each time it seemed like there were MORE. I picked 3 large reusable bags and only had to swat at yellow jackets a few times. I'm sharing the prunes, but also drying and canning some. I LOVE Italian prunes, fresh, dried and especially canned! I know they aren't the best thing to eat at this stage, so I'll definitely can them in small jars...and portion out the dried ones. And I'll be more regular! Heheh
QOTD: In honor of Labor Day, if you could earn a good living doing any job in the world, what job would you choose? I would be a life coach and kettlebell personal trainer specializing in women over 50. This is something I've dreamed about for a long time...a good friend of mine is a professional kettlebell trainer, very well known in that world, an author of a bestselling book about it and about her loss of over 120 lbs with kettlebells and clean eating. She does instructor certifications in her method and getting that certification is a goal that I hope to reach soon! I finally picked them up again and did some swinging...feels so good to get back with them and my muscles can definitely feel it!
(Edit) I'm also currently on Day 3 of the "Plank Challenge". Day 1 and 2 were 20 second planks, Day 3 and 4 are 30 second planks, and on and on until by Day 30 I'll be holding a 5 minute plank. My core is feeling it already. Some friends (real life and virtual) are doing it with me...as is my husband! That helps make it a little more motivational. :)

Wow that is awesome! So jealous! It does look like Harry Potter world and I would we know since we just came back from Universal where we were at Hogwarts castle and it looks so similar. Enjoy and keep showing pics!
Happy Labor Day! No BBQ for us today. Today is my last day off before back to work tomorrow in my new school. Nervous and excited at the same time. Just going grocery shopping for the week and food prepping.
QOTD - I have always wanted to be a teacher. I love it! Wish I made more money especially with all that I do and all my own money I put into my students but it is what it is. This will be my 13th year teaching for my district and I taught 5 years at a daycare before that.
