Hello all! Hope you can advise-- I'm just 6 days shy of 1 month postop, in the purée stage, and am still dealing with near constant nausea after eating or drinking, regardless of how tiny the bite or how slow I go ! Also, sometimes, I feel too full to eat.. is this common ?

I appreciate any advice !

Thanks ?

Hi! well it can be common... make sure you stop eating when you feel full or start to feel a full feeling make sure you are only eating about 2 ounces at a time (every 2-3 hours). AND this is important do not drink with your food or within a half hour of that meal. Some can drink up until they start the meal some need to stop drinking 15 - 30 minutes BEFORE. Those might be things to try if you aren't already.

Are you drinking a minimum of 64 ounces of fluid (away from meals)? Some people need even more than that, but that is the absolute minimum. Having liquids at different temperatures or in different forms (water with crystal light vs plan water for instance) sometimes makes a difference in getting them down easily. Dehydration is a common cause of nausea.
