11 Month Out - Labs back
Coming up to my first year "surgiversary" on 10/5.
They did my labs, and once again they are all right in the middle of normal, except for cholesterol. Total was 123, bad was 39, good was 62. So for a 66 year old with CVA and CAD, absolutely stellar.
A1C is great and haven't been on diabetes meds since surgery; i do have the very low blood sugar thing from time to time, but keep stuff with me. Guess its a "known" sleeve thing.
BP is perfect. Height is 1/2 shorter (fat head? fat feet? osteo says its bones). Weight is 5 lbs below goal, and I feel better than I have since I was in my 50's.
So grateful for this forum, for your help, encouragement, humor and sharing of struggles.
Now if my dadburn hair would grow back a bit faster!

Great news.
Make sure to get a yearly DEXA scan to stay aware of your bone density and ensure you're getting enough calcium and weight bearing exercise. This is more important as we lose weight because we have less weight to bear just in our daily existence.
