I can't believe it's August! Aaaaaah! I've got exciting things happening this month, but it still seems like it has come too soon.

I'm pretty tired at the moment, but I'm forcing myself to wake up and go to pilates since I need to leave around 6:15 tomorrow in order to get my run (7mi) in before an appointment. I'm also nearing the end of the term, so I've got a lot of school work.

QOTD: If you could pay someone else to do one household chore that you are currently personally responsible for, what chore would you choose?

1: protein shake (I was too rushed yesterday morning and never got to have my breakfast)
2: leftover Indian (So I ate my leftover gyro from the prior day instead of the leftover Indian)
3: leftover frittata

liquid and vites: on track!
exercise: pilates class

How about you? What's happening in your life today?

QOTD: I really wish I could pay someone else to meal plan for me. But they'd have to do it the way I want it done, so that seems like it would be impossible :P It's the one part of food prep I really dislike!

It's so time consuming and I hate having to plan it all out and then go grocery shopping to get it all and put it away and then cook what I need to for the week. I also know if I don't do it I'll most likely eat off plan so I suck it up

And my fantasy someone would also do the shopping for the ingredients of the weekly prepping. LOL

Good morning, Gwen and all. Busy day today - working at home, picking up baked goods at my friend's daughter's bakery to donate to the hospice house where my father spent time. We bought a memorial brick and it is ready to be put into the walkway. My son is a mason so we will all go and he will put in the memorial brick tonight. I bought the baked goods to leave for the staff and patients. It was an amazing place and I am so appreciative of all their kindness during my father's sickness.

QOTD: I like to cook, I have a cleaner and we don't generate a lot of laundry anymore... so i guess painting and I have 3 rooms that need to have junk purged and cleaned up - yes, 3 rooms! two are my kids old rooms which they have a ton of stuff in and the third got out of control when we remodeled the kitchen this spring. Projects for the fall!

B: cheerios

L: cheese and crackers, most likely - we are low on fresh food

D: Boloco - mini burrito - usually mediterranian, hummus, chicken, olives, etc. yummy

E: walk

L/V: on track

OK, I'll do the meal prepping. And the shopping too.

I want someone to come in and de-clutter my house!

Hey all. The summer is just flying by and I don't even know where June went. I feel like I have blinked and it's all gone.

Yesterday was fairly difficult. Well, many days the last couple weeks have been difficult. Many of you know I am estranged from my mother. I think the last few years she has come back into my life and my grandmother's life both, her and my sister have anyway since I was estranged from both of them. Those three years have not been peachy. My mother is definitely not like myself or my grandmother, and while the hope was she had changed when we moved her in here a few years ago when she needed a place to go, that hadn't been the case. Just like she always was, she's mean, manipulative and volatile and I do realize that when she first moved in is when my depression and emotional issue**** rock bottom and several hospitalizations followed.

Now though, she's laying in the hospital again. For the last 6 months she's been from a hospital where she was in a coma, to a rehab unit, to home, now back to the hospital. The doctor doesn't predict she will live by the end of the year if she does not change. She has severe COPD, will not stop smoking, she is nearly 400 lbs with 100 of that being retained fluid because her heart is failing. Despite that she is eating herself to death, packing in food and salt. She was eating an entire jar of pickles a day when she was here, I added it up and it was around 9,000mg of salt. She knows it's killing her, but she screams and abuses the poor techs at the hospital and bullies them when she doesn't get her way. The same thing she did here at home to me and my grandmother. I am in a weird state of numbness. Knowing my mother will die does not effect me, however how it is effecting my grandmother kills me. She's losing her daughter, and despite my mother's cruel wickedness, it is very, very hard on her and it's very hard for me to see.

This was quite a vent! I turned my menu post into a diary entry, but it felt great to write. I've been teetering on anxious emotions and uncertainty for a long time. It's nice to just spill out my thoughts.

QOTD: Mowing. the. lawn. I HATE yard work of all kids. Hate hate hate it. Someone please mow my yard!

Oh Mersh that is so hard. My thoughts go out to you and your grandma. I'm glad you shared and I hope you continue to find ways to take care of yourself.
