Hi again everyone. I have read most of the threads about the infamous "3 week stall." Well, it has almost been 1 month since my weight loss has stalled. In the last month, I have only lost about 5lbs.

Here are the facts:

  1. SW: 309 on 6/11 (date of VSG)
  2. My weight on 6/28 was 289. Since 6/28 I have remained in the 280s.
  3. My weight today is 284.2.
  4. I have been walking, lifting light weights (a few times a week),averaging between 20-30 net carbs max, under 600 calories.

I emailed the nurse today because nothing has changed in the 2 weeks since I spoke to my NUT about it. I have a 6-week post op today, but I think this is a little ridiculous. I am tracking my food and everything. What is going on?!!? I am SUPER discouraged. Has anyone else experienced a stall like this!?

It's totally common.

How much liquid are you getting each day? Are you sleeping? Are you weighing your food when you track it? How much protein are you getting in each day?

What does a day of eating look like for you? Give us a sample menu so we can troubleshoot.

You're body is probably just playing catch up to the rapid weightloss you have experienced. 25 lbs in 17 days is nothing to shake a stick at. Don't be discouraged. Look at the bottom line. I never look at it like I only lost 1 lb this week, but more like I've lost 110lbs all together. I've had a couple of slow months, but I know if I keep doing what I'm doing the weight will come off. Exercise, protein, and fluids are key for me. When I slack up on either one, I definitely don't see my desired weightloss. Best of luck to you!
