Sadly, tastes are so personal that it's really hard to recommend something. Just because someone else likes it is no guarantee that you will. And, remember, just because you like something pre-op, you might not like it post-op. So don't stock up too much on anything!

For me, the Premier Protein Clear was good for getting through my clear liquids only days. The taste isn?t bad, but I find them way sweet (keep in mind, my 3 beverages of choice are water, unsweetened tea and black coffee?so almost any sweet drink is too sweet for me). It also leaves a weird film/aftertaste in your mouth. That all said, you should try it! Some like it. And if you don?t, clear liquids isn?t that many days for most, so anything that gets you nourished in that short time is better than nothing.

You'll be getting your surgery almost 1 yr to the day of my surgery. Congratulations! I hated Premiere clear before surgery, but I didn't mind them afterward. I agree with the other poster about the film/sweetness. I just cut it with water (2/3 protein, 1/3 water and ice). This was a good tool to staying hydrated and getting as close as possible to the protein goals in those first couple months after surgery. Now I use them on occasion if I am behind on protein and too full for a shake. My Sam's only sells the fruit punch flavor, so I don't know how the other flavors taste.
