Whatcha Eating Today, VSGers? Monday, 7/16/18
on 7/16/18 3:16 am
It is very early, but I figured starting the thread while it's quiet and I am free would be great. Tonight has been busy, but it's almost over and I get my four days off. I have been working around the house on all my days off the last couple weeks, this week I plan to relax a bit more.
QOTD: other than sitting in the AC, how do you like to cool off?
I love iced coffee and iced tea on a hot day
Breakfast- chicken sausage, apple
Lunch- egg salad sandwich
Dinner- curry shrimp with garbanzo beans
snack- fage 0%, almonds
totals- 970 calories, 70 carbs, 90g protein
First, I forgot to say yesterday that I am an "off the charts" extrovert, lol. We did Meyers briggs at work and i scored about as high as you can.
QOTD: We have an above-ground pool - that's a good way to cool off or a ride to the beach is always nice. I could never live more than 30 minutes from the ocean. I Love it!
B: heading to caf now - maybe an egg with 1/2 an english muffin
L: in the mood for a salad - maybe with turkey or grilled chicken
D: idk still no refrigerator and everything is thrown out so probably take out or pick up a steak on the way home.
E: doubtful - it's hot and muggy and I'm in the office today so 2 hours of commute time
L/V: good on track

I?m what they call an introverted extrovert. No one knows I?m an introvert at work because I?m an excellent presenter, engaged meeting participant, etc. But for any who do not know, I/E is based on what energizes you vs. drains you.
whats weird about my MB is that my T vs. F score is dead even..so I throttle between INTP and INFP.
Did you ever wonder if Myers Briggs type could be applied to weight loss styles?

Yes. I work in IT Management and am regularly manning large teams of people, giving presentations, etc. I don't have any issue with it and I'm not shy. Most people would describe my work persona as being assertive and driven. At home, however, I spend my time recharging and absolutely require time alone.

Morning! It's going to be a busy week with two our managers out and needing to backfill for them. My aunt and uncle will arrive on Wednesday and I'm really looking forward to that.
QOTD: I do love iced coffee and iced passion tea, but I don't feel like much cools me down other than the A/C. We have a pool at our apartment complex but I even get seasick in the pool these days! Luckily, I am just a lot more cold-blooded than I used to be and I don't get hot very easily - even when it's 90+ degrees!
M1: Coffee, PP, Miralax, HC
M2: Egg, Cheese, Avocado
M3: Leftover Brisket & Green Beans

E: I brought my gym clothes for a walk on the treadmill.

Good morning! I slept in a little this morning since yesterday totally wiped me out. Hosting Cookbook Club is tiring. It was a great time, the food I made was delicious! And..
QOTD: ... our AC seems to have died. Since the house was up in the 80s at the end of the gathering. We figured it was just "lots of bodies" and the fact that the stove was on a lot. But this morning it seems to not be working. SIGH. I'm actually fine with the heat when I'm inside and it's dim and all the fans are going, but Art and Lance are way more heat sensitive. Sad times. The repair person is scheduled to come out between 10 and 2, and since Art is most bothered by the heat, he got up early to schedule AND decided to work from home since he didn't know what my schedule looked like to know if I'd be able to handle the repair person. That was sweet of him!
1: protein shake
2: leftover chicken/ham croquetas
3: chicken saltimbocca, creamy carbonara orzotto for the guys
liquid and vites: on track

Good morning all. It is going to be a steamy one here today, but we are busy all day, so we can't cool off the usual way, which is:
QOTD: Beach! Preferably the ocean with the breezes and waves, but lakes/ponds work for me too.
On the personality thing, I did say I thought I was more introverted than extroverted and the MBTI backs it up (says I am slightly introverted). I had forgotten about that.
2 Years, 3.5 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 19.5 months)
Always lots of coffee...
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese OR sliced chicken (DS ate most of my tuna - why did he leave one spoonful instead of just finishing it or better yet not touching it!?)
D: Shrimp OR maybe pork (DS defrosted a tenderloin so maybe he is cooking?)
S: Probably yogurt?
