Hi everyone, I was doing good on my Pre op diet until my dietician said I can eat meat and vegetables only. I took it and ran with it I got way off track gain weight, I was discourage telling myself eat I didn't think I would be approved for surgery. I received the phone call today Approved. Then the guilt came in I wish I didn't give into temptations I make it hard for myself, I can't change what happen yesterday but I can control today tomorrow etc. I hope SURGERY will be on the 26 of this month if not next month! Now I'm motivated!! I got this I will do this no matter what comes my way. This time I won't get on the scale, until day of surgery! Have a great weekend!

One slip won't hurt you. You have 2 weeks to get back on track. But remember that the diet is meant to make surgery safer and to get you ready for how you will need to eat after.

That's what helped me- reminding myself that this diet was to shrink my liver, so I would have a safe and complication-free surgery. Don't think about weight loss or anything else. This is for your surgery. Good luck!

I'm happy you were approved! One slip won't kill you :) don't let guilt over whelm you either! Just get back to the things you should be doing.

Perhaps you should find a good therapist to talk to. The mental part is the hardest. Good luck.

I strongly suggest that you work with a therapist to address the emotional eating. After surgery, it is absolutely still possible to "get way off track" with your eating and sabotage yourself.
