In theory I should be at pilates class right now, followed by yoga, but I opted to do abbreviated yoga and pilates at home because I just don't have time. My goal yesterday was to go my GERO reading and posting, only to find out that my GERO class has SIX hours of video in this week's course material AND 13 text resources. UGH. I made it through four and will finish up today. Then I need to do the reading and writing for HMGT. But this is a really bad week for me.

QOTD: What's the dumbest thing you've done that actually turned out pretty well?

1: protein shake
2: leftover sous vide pork tenderloin
3: leftover roast beef hash, fried egg on top

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: yoga ("10 minute twists," actually 14 min), pilates hip series (12 min)

How about you? What's happening in your world today?

I'll answer the QOTD later as I am leaving in a few minutes...

Good morning! Today is the annual Street Fair here, an Arts and Crafts festival which spans all of Main Street. I am meeting SIL and a friend in a few minutes to go, then meeting more friends at 11:30 at a restaurant downtown for lunch. I don't know what I'll buy, but probably something I didn't know I needed! Though I do have 2 shower and 2 wedding gifts to buy...

2 Years, 3 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 19 months)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Out to lunch with friends (probably Tuna Sashimi or crab cake appetizer)

D: chicken apple sausage (I had one last night - really tasty!)

S: yogurt

Sorry! Lance came out and wanted to talk since we hadn't seen each other last night, so he distracted me while I was getting the QOTD in the post :D It's there no!

Yay shopping?

I always buy something I don't need :( I am so bad to pick up tiny cute things, or stationary.

Happy hump day. It's already a long week.

QOTD: IDK, requires some thought. can't think of anything off hand

B: omg, haven't eaten yet - and forgot! (That NEVER happens to me)

L: idk, still no frig = no food

D: Daughter stopping and picking up fresh ravioli/sauce at a local shop - and I'm making meatballs

E: seems nicer today so hopefully a walk

L/V: good

it's been more than 3 weeks - and a nightmare. I refuse to have the repair person back who has replaced the compressor 2x and scratched my floor - (and the frig still didn't work) - and HD says they are looking for a qualified person but they are having trouble. Just give me a new frig!!

QOTD: It's hard to personally think of it as the dumbest, because it has turned out pretty well, but I know that, from the outside looking in, especially at the time it happened, it definitely looks like the dumbest.

I went to college directly out of high school (in retrospect, this is probably the dumbest part of the whole thing) and, for me, it was free since I had awesome scholarships and my parents paid for the rest. I met Art online (also dumb, since the internet was full of ax murderers in the 90s) and we got engaged after meeting IRL, intending to wait until I graduated college to get married. After two years I realized that college wasn't working out for me so I dropped out (dumb), Art and I got married having spent about 7 days IRL together at that point (more dumb), and I moved to England where Art was stationed (exciting, but dumb).

Living in England was awesome, Art and I have been happily married for almost 21 years, and in those intervening years I figured out what I wanted to do with my life and went back to college to study things I'm passionate about.

So, yeah, I'm pretty happy with how things turned out :)

That's a great story! It definitely turned out much better than most people would likely predict! And yeah, college students are almost always too young to benefit from college, that is dumb.
