Whatchat Eating Today VSGers, Thursday, July 5
Good morning, VSGers. Still brutally hot here and muggy. Blech. I was supposed to go camping but refuse to go sit in the forest and be uncomfortable. Gave the site to my son and his gf. They are young and won't mind, lol. Had all the cousins for the 4th yesterday with no frig - ran up and down stairs to basement refrig - and out to RV every time I needed something cold. I ran up a ton of steps on the fitbit and today feel like i wa**** by a bus. I'm tired!!
QOTD: (Stolen from RNY forum) If you could be on any game show what would it be?
B: Cheerios and iced coffee
L: lots of leftovers from yesterday - so maybe a small piece of calzone -or at least the insides
D: leftover steak tips marinated in my garden's herbs and italian dressing, summer salad (salad w/no lettuce)
E: not a chance - I'm pooped and it's like 100 here.
L/V: big time

QOTD: I've always wanted to be on Family Feud - after my daughter got married that gave us the right amount of people to apply. They had try-outs in Boston and we were chosen to try out. We were not picked but it was sooooooooooooooo fun just to go to the try-outs and participate. I think we may have been a bit too competitive haha.

Yep, it is hot here! Of course it is supposed to break tomorrow and rain all day on the day we were supposed to go with DSD for a sailing excursion.
QOTD: It is tough coming up with these isn't it? I have nothing (I never liked watching game shows).

Good morning. I am very tired (seems to me a theme lately!). I am up and going to eat a bit of something for breakfast and then go out to buy my good friend's father a birthday present. He is 94! We are going to get him a big container of mixed nuts and some of Sam's Club delicious cake slices that comes in strawberry, cinnamon, and chocolate. I will also pick up a few groceries for me to get me through the weekend, then probably come home and sleep.
QOTD: Wheel of Fortune! I love Wheel of Fortune, me and my grandmother watch it together and I love word puzzles in general.
QOTD: What was that game show with Howie Mandel and the briefcases? That one looked really easy to win a decent amount of money on - people just got greedy.
4+ years post-op (still working toward goal)
1: protein shake
2: pork and mushrooms (I think this will be the last serving - yay!)
3: turkey tomato sauce stuff
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: running (45 mins on treadmill, 1:1 intervals, 2.5 mi total), yoga (30 minutes intermediate stretches for runners)
I joined a gym yesterday because I can't deal with running outside when it's got a "feels like" of 90+ and air quality warnings.

Good morning Sleevers! Last night it sounded like a war-zone around here. We ended up giving our poor Sophie a mild sedative because she was getting really anxious. When the explosions are so loud that your house shakes, it's a little much. I felt like taking a sedative too!

Ellen Degeneres had a game show last fall I think, called Ellen's Game of Games. I adore her, and would love to be on her show. Also, is Amazing Race considered a game show? Naw, they do some crazy stuff, I'll jus****ch it from my chair. heheh
I love Ellen too! I got to be in the audience for the mother's day show several years ago with my sister when she was pregnant. It was SO much fun and we got thousands of dollars worth of baby gear. One of the best experiences I've ever had!
