I'm Back for Good and Ready to Start Over

Hi all! I had my sleeve surgery almost 6 years ago and after a very rough start because I was bleeding internally I lost 100 pounds. I felt great and was so grateful that I had the surgery and was the smallest I have ever been at 130 lbs and a size 2. I then found myself pregnant even though the doctors told me after my second child that I couldn't have anymore because my endometriosis was so bad. I struggled to eat enough but forced myself so that I had a healthy baby. I gained 30 lbs back due to my pregnancy. I then developed non-cancerous tumors in my belly and slowly gained another 30 lbs due to inability to move much and depression didn't help with healthy eating choices. I had surgery to remove the tumors and ended up with complications again and now almost 4 years later I can finally exercise and focus on eating right to get this weight off. I need OH for the support, I am sticking around for the long haul. Also, made an appointment for therapy because I know I need all the help I can get. Today is Day 1 and I'm not going to give up until I reach my goal again. I did it once, I know i can do it again. Thanks for letting me share my story! Look forward to talking with everyone!

The only way you will see results is if you stay consistent!

Welcome back, Nikki! I'm so sorry you've had a rough time of it. But I have no doubt that you can get back to your goal again. You lost 100 lbs, so you're obviously a strong and determined woman.

I am really a believer in therapy...I wish I would have started it years ago, perhaps things would be different now. But I've been doing it for about 7 months, had surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago, and plan on continuing therapy as long as I need to!

Like Mersh said, please do post on the menu thread! It's not only a great way to keep yourself in check, but it's a great way to meet people who will support you and encourage you.

Welcome back! I agree with Mersh, come join us on the VSG menu thread. It's a good place to see what everyone is eating and a wonderful place to find support.

Yes! I find the daily menu thread really helpful! It keeps me focused. It also keeps me encouraged, knowing that even though I have made some drastic changes to what I will be eating in the future, that there is a universe of great food out there that I will be able to enjoy as my WL journey stretches out into the future.
