When were your stalls?
Hi, VSGers. A curiosity question has been bubbling in my mind: Do weight loss stalls tend to occur at regular times across Vsg parients? I hear 3 weeks quoted a lot (I'm at 3 wks..no stall, per se, but am surprised at the slowness of the loss over the past three days given a large ramp up in walking.)
when were your stalls? How long did they last?

I "stalled" for about an entire year from 2015-2016. It wasn't really a stall, though, it was "I stopped eating to lose weight and ate at maintenance for reasons that weren't all together intentional."
Before that, I focused on the trend of my weight, so I never felt that I was stalling.
I tend to think of a stall as being "my weight hasn't moved for a month and I don't know why." I've yet to experience that. Sure, I've had months where my weight hasn't moved, but you can bet I know why it's not moving.

I have a stall every month, 2 weeks before my menstrual cycle. This has been like clock work. I'm now having the longest stall I've ever had (about a month). I'm good with it. I know it will pass.
Yes it was frustrating at 1st until I realized what was happening. I'm very prone to retaining water around this time. As soon as it's over I start losing a pound a day for a 1 & 1/2 half weeks or so. I usually lose all of my weight for the month within this period, then stall again. Drinking a lot of water helps with this. The less I drink the more I retain. My body is strange :(
I had a stall around 6 weeks post-op that lasted a couple of weeks for no apparent reason as my calories and carbs were incredibly low at that point. I've also been experiencing one for the past month but as Gwen said, I pretty much know why.
