QOTD: What are some small things that make your day better?
1: protein shake
2: probably another protein shake
3: Adobo sa Gata - this is a braised pork shoulder dish with lots of garlic and mushrooms. My cookbook for the week is "Feed the Resistance."

QOTD: The first thing that came to mind was exercise, but I'm not sure that's a "small thing" since most days it takes at least an hour. Showering ALWAYS makes my day better. I love showers. Even super short 3 minute showers. I have my best ideas in the shower and they always make me feel so much better.

Good morning Gwen. Thanks for starting. I was wracking my brain for a QOTD.
Today it is going to be gorgeous in Massachusetts and I would LOVE to be enjoying it on a Cape beach, but we have to go to Boston today and Thursday for wrap-up apppintments for DH's cancelled clinical trial. I hope the traffic isn't abominable this afternoon as we aren't done until around 4.
I had planned on doing 100% AMAW (only meat, super low carb) for 2 days, then CAMAW (meat and dairy only) for a few this week. I have done so well on my 2 AMAW days, that I am doing one more and starting CAMAW tomorrow (for another 3 days probably). I was 100% on plan again yesterday and am even doing okay with having only black coffee.
QOTD: Coffee and sitting with Justice reading and posting on OH on my iPad are my favorite morning activities to get my day started. Yoga or walking also makes my day better. The sunshine is critical to my mood, but beach/water can improve it dramatically as well.

QOTD- One small thing that makes me smile is how my cat always greets me at the front door when I get home from work every day. He is very vocal and we have a conversation as I come in and set my bags down. I like to imagine that he is telling me about his day napping and chattering at the birds out the window!

QOTD: for me it's the small things. I just shipped out an ornament that I made to a friend that bought it. While there I found out they have scratch and sniff stamps. My mom collects stamps so I bought her some. She loved them! I have time today to work on jewelry so that makes me happy. Hearing from a friend, I'm usually the one to call so it's a nice surprise.
Breakfast: protein shake small cup of coffee.
Lunch: 2ozs chicken breast, 1/8 cup low cal Alfredo sauce and some roasted zucchini.
Dinner will be updated later.
Snacks: Fage 0% yogurt with a tbs of pumpkin purée, stevia and spices. The rest of the chicken breast from lunch

Good morning! I worked the last few days and wasn't able to post until today. I read through the miss posts and got caught up with everyone. Today I take my 89 year old friend to her eye appointment then meet up with my Mahjong group for dinner and game. I plan on winning a hand tonight, I haven't won for over a month:-)
My dog hurt her dew claw on Sunday, so we are taking a break from any hiking this week. Maybe some slow walks to get her out of the house.
QOTD-Sitting outside in the sun on my deck with a cup of coffee, watching my dog Emmy swim in the lake and keeping up with shows I love on HBO(Westworld and Succession) and Netflix. Sitting with my neighbors on their porch gossiping about our neighborhood(just a little:-)
