Close to goal, now what??
Hellllllllooo!
I started my journey at around 255lbs (highest weight ever being 263) and I am now down to 165 at 8 months out!
My goal is 140-150, I'm wondering if I keep continuing what I'm doing, will I be able to lose those last 15-25 lbs? Or do I have to cut calories more? I'm eating less than 1000 a day (usually 800) with 68ish grams of protein, and 70 or so ounces of water. My weight loss has slowed DRAMATICALLY in the past few months (only losing 5lbs a month rather than 10 or so like I was before), which I expected. But I'm just worried that my body is content being in the 160s and I won't lose anymore. Probably not a realistic fear, but certainly a fear nonetheless!
Please help!

A smaller body requires fewer calories to maintain. If your loss is slowing down, it means there's a smaller gap between what you're eating and what you're burning.
You may need to stick closer to 800 calories per day to continue losing the last bit of weight, but it's absolutely do-able.

I think the only way you'll know what your body will do is if you keep at it. If you stop losing weight for a few weeks, that means you're eating at maintenance and will need to drop your calories if you want to get lower.
You can do it :D

I averaged around 800 a day (average over a week****il I reached goal, then slowly increased my calories until I stopped losing. My goal was 125, but I ended up at 115 before I stopped losing.
