5 days post-op and tired of liquid diet!
So far things are going well! I was in a lot of pain the first few days but slowly but surely regaining some mobility. However, I am STRUGGLING with this liquid diet! Anyone else desperate for ANYTHING else?! I'm not physically hungry - I know it's just head hunger, but man. Everything sounds good now. Any advice?!

Try crushed ice with a tiny bit of sugar free crystal lite or koolaid over it for like a mock shaved ice.
I loved sugar free popsicles :)
But, honestly, the liquid diet just sucks. I had so much diet fatigue by the end of the 24 days of liquids (pre-op and post-op). Puréed day was the best day of my life.

I remember just wanting to chew something. My first opportunity was scrambled eggs (LOL). Yeah, it stinks but it won't last forever.

Power through it. You can do it! If you're on full liquids, try bean with bacon soup (I used Campbell's), mix it with equal amount of water, (I also added some plain protein powder) then blend it until there isn't a single chunk left. My stick blender worked like a dream for this.
My mouth thought I had died and gone to heaven. And after 1/4 cup, my stomach was telling me I was done.
You can do it!
I'm 11 days post-op today and making a list of things I'm going to have during the pureed/soft foods stage. LOL
Thank you so much for the advice and support!!! The struggle is real! I'm on "full liquids" for 2 weeks ?
