Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Wednesday, 6/13/2018
Good morning, all! I'm up early (for me) since I'm heading to fitness classes this morning. It's been a while and I've missed them. Today it's pilates and yoga!
Yesterday was a very productive day for me and I spent time bonding with my syllabi for the next classes. Today, once I'm home from fitness classes, I hope to finish up my work for my current class for this week and next week so that I can be a little ahead of the game with the new classes are added in. If I can stay focused, it'll be a great day!
QOTD: What is the most annoying question that people ask you? (I'll post my answer in a comment.)
1: protein shake (but probably not until after I get home, since I don't want to deal with my aligners before I leave)
2: leftover skirt steak (if someone else hasn't eaten them already!)
3: I'm making Shami Kebabs for dinner and getting pork shoulder into the sous vide for tomorrow's dinner.
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: pilates class, yoga class
How about you? What's going on in your world today?

Excellent that you are getting so active along with your busy school schedule! I walked about 5 miles yesterday on the beach and will do the same today. That's about it for exercise here.
QOTD: The most annoying questions these days are "You aren't going to get any thinner are you?" or "What are you going to do with yourself in retirement?".
I do need to curb my eating here on vacation, as I didn't like the weight on the scale in the gym this morning. So:
2 Years, 2 months post-op (maintaining at goal for 18 months)
Always lots of coffee...
B: Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese
L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: Leftover grilled tuna and veggies
S: Turkey pepperoni

Good morning. It's my third day in a row physically in the office - so that's close to 300 miles in 3 days. I'm tired. Traffic has been a nightmare lately too. I'm not sure why but I'm hoping people are on vacation in July and traffic lightens up. My remodel is almost done - the contractors are coming tomorrow to address final items and the punch list. I've been trying to clean up this week - cleared the decks of all the leftover boxes, spare tile pieces, etc. It's looking good!
B: Okay, I'm tired and I'm weak - I already ate Lucky Charms. They called to me!
L: salad with turkey breast
D: chicken with peppers, onions, salsa - maybe on a small tortilla -but I don't actually think we have any
E: walk - have been hitting 10K steps a day easily lately
L/V: good

Good morning Gwen and menu crew. busy night for me last night and when I finally settled down I slept like a baby!
QOTD - How do you do it? People really wonder how I stay motivated to eat healthy and exercise like I do. When out with friends I make the right choices, I do not eat bread, I often do not have a drink, I exercise regularly and people ask me over and over again how I do it. It gets old, but my answer is simple: Prior to Losing weight ( most folks do not know I had WLS) I was on 6 medications including 3 for diabetes and insulin, High BP and Cholesterol and to this day I am medication free.

Good morning everyone! I've got my neurofeedback appointment and then I've got to prepare for my late group at the prison. Half my clients were shipped to another facility last week with no warning, so it's been kind of a hard/strange week.
QOTD: (with regard to weight loss) "What's your secret?" Low cal, low carbs, etc is not what they want to hear. I don't talk to people at all of the facilities I work in about surgery because that would 200+ people in my personal/health business, but that also means I have nearly 200 people commenting on my body which makes me so uncomfortable.
B - coffee & protein
L - chicken kabob & coleslaw
D - another kabob & brocolli
E - wall sits, lunges, push ups

QOTD: I get frustrated with "what can I do to help?" I know it comes from a good place, but I hate it. The last thing I want to do when I'm dealing with whatever I'm dealing with that inspires people to tell me this is the work it would take to figure out what to ask them to do. I'd love for people to just offer what they're willing to do to help instead. (This happened after my reconstructive surgeries and after my dad died - people would offer to help, but I didn't know what I needed and didn't have the brain power to figure it out, just so I could give them something to do.)
