Good morning, all! I'm back home from an awesome vacation and then a very, very long weekend of INELDA training. Talking about death and dying for eight hours a day for three days is surprisingly hard work! It was a wonderful experience, though, and I'm so grateful to have been there. I think I might have even made a friend :D

But now it's back to real life. I've got my records appointment for orthodontics this morning, an allergy shot, and then grocery shopping for the week. Once I get back home it's figuring out what the heck is going on and where to start for my next class that begins today. Thankfully I only have one class for the first 4 weeks of summer term, but then I add in two more classes and will have all three going for 4 weeks.

QOTD: How long do you feel it takes you to get back to "normal" after a vacation? (I'll answer in a comment.)

1: protein shake (YAY, I've missed my protein shakes.)
2: leftover sous vide flat iron steaks with a little steak sauce
3: Bacon, Onion and Chive Quiche with a Hash Brown Crust (I planned meals this week from my saved recipes.)

liquid and vites: liquids are good, I probably won't be on track with vites today since I need to set up my next two weeks at some point today, but then I'll be on track tomorrow.
exercise: nope

How about you? What's on your schedule for Monday?

QOTD: I feel like it takes me 4-7 days to get back to feeling normal. That involves totally unpacking AND putting things away after unpacking, getting laundry done, getting back to eating normally and losing any vacation weight gained, and just reclaiming my normal routines.

Wow, you get back into your busy schedule quickly!

QOTD: I can get into the swing of being on vacation pretty quickly. On returning home, I'd guess a couple of days if there was little or no time change. It can take me up to a week if there is a significant time change and/or really long travel required to return home.

2 Years, 2 months post-op

Always lots of coffee...

B: Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: mozzarella/prosciutto stick

D: Chicken meatballs (maybe - didn't have them again as planned yesterday) OR leftover 1/2 burger

S: apple and/or protein bar

LOL! I do kind of live on the tuna for lunch because it fills me up and it is super satisfying for me. I make 3 cans worth of tuna salad at a time.

We have to go to Boston today for an appointment so I'll be eating on the road.

QOTD: I guess it depends on the vacation. We went camping this weekend and upon returning home, I immediately do all the laundry and last night grocery shopped - so I feel back to normal. However, for a longer vacation, it may take me a day or two. I think working full time requires you to get back to normal quicker - you have to take advantage of whatever free time you have or you don't get things done.

B: egg with cheese, red peppers

L: salad with turkey breast

D: chicken with tomatoes, onions, garlic wine

E: walk

L/V: on track

trying to make better choices and cut out the crap foods - scheduled to go to Aruba in one month and would like to "feel thin" going

Good morning Gwen and VSG Crew. Great weekend even though our weather was horrible. Saturday I played in a golf Tourney and while it was cold and rainy I had a blast. Yesterday we went to visit my folks and I helped them do a few things around their place and then we went to dinner.

QOTD - I was on Vacation from 4/12 - 04/25 and I was terrible. My choices were bad, it took me two weeks to get back to where I needed to be and to get the carb cravings out of my head. I did not even exercise like normal on vacation this year and that is not normal for me.
