2 weeks out and battling my head hunger

I had surgery on May 3 so I'm 2 weeks and 1 day out. I haven't been hungry really but my head hunger is starting to rear it's ugly head. I'll only eat about 3 or 4 oz of soup and be fine but then 20 mins later, I'm wanting more. I try and drink protein shakes but I can't seem to drink them much because it's thick-ish. I can eat soup quicker than I can drink, which is weird to me.

Therapy, the sheer force of will, and make sure you are on a PPI to reduce acid.

Head hunger is a hard one:-) A few ways I was able to deal with it was to stay out of the kitchen and keep my hands and my mind busy. I organized, crotched, read, went on OH and began walking A LOT. I made sure that there was absolutely no tempting food in the house(a little harder to do if you have a family). Therapy before, during and after was also extremely helpful. Are you allowed any Greek yogurt, cottage cheese or eggs yet? Finding an allowable food that is more satisfying might help too. You can do this:-)

I have am almost 2 year old so it's hard not to keep tempting foods in the house. My hubby has had the surgery too but he eats whatever he wants. I guess I should try more solid foods, I'm on the pureed diet now but yogurt is too filling. I am wanting to try cottage cheese next. I'm in therapy but my next session is like 3 weeks away.

if you are still on full liquids drinking soup every 20 minutes is perfectly acceptable.

liquids go straight thru your sleeve so there is no reason not to drink soup as often as possible.

I'm on pureed foods now, but haven't really got too much into it yet. Maybe I'm a little scared to overeat. I'm seeing a therapist already. I guess I should try more filling foods. It's the hardest at work, I work overnights in an office for 12 hours right now.
