Hey VSGers! We seem to be dying out on this thread! We need to plan too, and should be able to keep going like the RNYers. Or have a lot of people defected to other online support???

Today I am going to yoga for the second time. My inflexibility on Monday told me that I need this. I'm also getting a tattoo this afternoon in memory of my DD. I'll post a picture...

QOTD: I am a makeup person, but I don't like to look overdone. Has anyone ever worn false eyelashes and if so were they worth the effort? I'm thinking of getting the magnetic ones but don't want it to look like too much.

2 Years post-op

Always lots of coffee...

B: Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna salad with pickles and cottage cheese

D: Shrimp

S: 1/2 protein bar

It has been a bit quiet. I think maybe because spring has finally come in many places, people are out and about. I know it's beautiful here and I can finally get a lot done. Now that I'm essentially unemployed until the 21st, I plan to do a lot around the house and with my garden and just the things I've not had time to do.

I am a little worried about my health coverage, if I am covered this may since I have tests to do. Maybe I will cancel them and wait.

QOTD: I've never worn false lashes before! I don't think I could even manage to put them on. I bet you'd look great with them though!

Breakfast - Cottage cheese on toast with SF raspberry preserves

Lunch - Going out with a friend for mexican, so probably just a taco

Dinner - Stir fry chicken and veggies

Snacks - Protein shake, Chobani plain greek

It's odd isn't it? Where did everybody go? It's not just our menu thread, but all over OH especially this last week or so. Hmm.

QOTD: I've never worn false eyelashes, always associating them with those really fake looking onesy. But I think there are probably a lot of good ones out there and I just don't know that's what I'm looking at when I see someone with great lashes!

B - coffee, yogurt, berries, grain free granola

L - Not sure. Going out with a friend

D - eggs, asparagus

S - protein shake

When we went to dinner with DD recently the waitress had incredibly thick curling lashes. DD said she probably had eyelash extensions which she said a lot of people do these days. I looked them up and they take a long time to apply, last for only a few weeks and cost a lot of $. That's why I wondered if false ones just for once in a while might be fun...

I didn't know they did eyelash extensions. How would that even work?? Must google...

A side note, I did try Latisse. - that liquid you put on your eyelashes that make them grow. It totally works. I stopped, but I can't remember why...

Never did false lashes. Older daughter did last year for her prom and they looked amazing, but a friend who is a makeup artist applied them for her.

Not eating much today - stomach still on the mend from a bout with e coli - I was a fool and ordered a Caesar Salad at a restaurant I had never been to before - my daughter and I have been deathly ill for three days. I've managed to keep Gatorade down and trying to sip my first shake.

The good news is I lost 8 pounds in 2 days.

B - 1 slice of toasted sour dough bread

L - protein shake

D - london broil, green beans and rice

(20 months post-op)

Keep on losing!
