Hoping this finds you on the far side of surgery and doing well! Only regret is that I didn't do it sooner!

Surgery went well they tell me. I, on the other hand am not well. I have been doing nothing except dry heaving. All day yesterday and again this morning. When the hell does this stop??.

Hopefully you have nausea medication? Sip water.

I have been getting medication, yet still can't keep anything down. Dr has told me not to drink anything yet. I'm praying today s better. My entire body is killing me because the dry heaving is so violent.

I was the same and it was from the pain meds. Once they switched it around, I was good to go. I hope that by now, you're feeling better. Let us know!

I have no idea what it was from but for a solid 48 hours it was torture. I pulled muscles in my neck and burst blood vessels that's how hard I was heaving. Thankful to finally be home after a 4 night hospital stay, but struggling to sleep because for the life of me I cannot get comfortable. I had zero sleep last night but can't manage to even doze during the day. Sucks!

I'm sorry. It WILL get better. Are you still nauseated?

No thank the Lord! I'm not in any pain either. I wasn't in pain in the hospital at all and didn't take any of the pain meds except after a heaving episode! Now that it's behind me, I'm looking forward to when I sleep through the night and when I'm not constantly on the damn toilet! I went from my bed to the recliner 5 times last night.
