Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Thursday, April 26, 2018
Good morning. It is 10 Easter time, so I figured it was time to start this party!
Yesterday, DH got lost again for the 3rd time. Generally it happens when he panics or takes off like a petulant child. Sigh... I finally ordered a GPS tracking watch though I had been holding off as the technology evolved.
QOTD: What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day (when not working)? I like to read miscellaneous things on my IPad, read books, run errands, or binge watch TV (but I always feel guilty when I do too much of the latter).
2 Years post-op
Always lots of coffee...
B: Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: Tuna with pickles and cottage cheese
D: Possibly 1/2 burger, no bun (@$5 burger night at a local restaurant)

I've been thinking about getting something like this for my mother. The ones that seem reliable are a little expensive, but I worry about her not wearing it. She doesn't really like necklaces or watches. I don't think we are QUITE there yet, but within the next year or so I plan on finding something...

Good morning!
It's Thursday....I'm looking forward to Friday. We are going to a little get-together tomorrow night for dinner and games! I haven't been out in awhile, so I'm looking forward to it.
QOTD: What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day (when not working)?
I literally work almost all of the time. I'm off from both jobs on Saturday, but it's generally kitchen and bathroom cleaning in the morning and laundry in the afternoon. If I have nothing to do, I like to catch up on a show like Fear the Walking Dead or Grey's Anatomy or read a good book.
Right now, I'm reading The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah, and I am REALLY enjoying it! I joined the book of the month club online, and I get to pick a new book every month from a list of five. I really like it. If anyone is interested, send me a message. I have a link for a free extra book for your first month.
B: Sugar free, Nonfat Latte
L: Unsure. I have some tuna and crackers but I may be school lunch if it's not awful. I kind of want something warm. It's a cold, rainy day here right now.
D: Tilapia with broccoli
Snacks: SkinnyPop Popcorn, peanut butter

I'm sorry to hear about your husband. That sounds really challenging. I'm glad that the technology exists to remove some of the worry, though.
I was out the door early this morning for neck PT. Traction is.. "fun." I'm home for the day now and my primary goals are to get my discussion posts finished for both classes and pack for the weekend with my mom so I can leave straight from my errands tomorrow.
QOTD: Well.. as an online student there aren't really days when I'm not working, since there's always school. On the off chance I actually do have free time, though, I like to read, watch TV, or play board games!
1: protein shake
2: leftover taquito
3: pressure cooker butter chicken, rice for the guys
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: PT for neck and PT home exercises for neck and feet

Morning everyone! Liz I can only imagine all the challenges you face as a caretaker to your partner. You should allow yourself guilt-free TV time anytime you want!
Its a beautiful day out and I'm recovered from my jet lag :) Tonight I'm taking my mom to the musical Rent. We're both musical theatre nerds, so we're excited!
QOTD: I love to sit in my amazingly comfortable recliner with a heating pad and color while listening to a good audiobook. It's the best!!!
B - Protein shake
l - triple zero yogurt
d - I'm thinking steak and veggies
s - espresso with a splash of cream

You just had your surgery over a month ago, congratulations! How are you doing?
Good morning! The GPS watch sounds like an amazing idea Liz, maybe it will help alleviate some of the stress involved. I panic when I can't remember where I park, I can't imagine how he feels when he gets lost. It must be so scary. You are a wonderful wife and friend to him Liz.
It is supposed to be 76 degrees today. I want the warm weather, but panic a little when it happens. When I was heavier, changing from winter to summer clothes caused so much anxiety. I forget that I don't need to feel that way anymore.
QOTD-Browse my IPad, watch Dr. Oz and clean or organize "stuff".
B-Bullet Coffee and 2 protein waffles
L-PP shake
S-chai tea w/cream & stevia
D-Turkey breast and green beans(yuk:-)
E-Short hike with Emmy, upper arm strengthening
Have a great Thursday!
Good afternoon - it was a rainy day here this am... but on a rainy day off, I'd prefer to sit in front of the tv like a slug, haha.
B: at a class for our Patent/Trademark Database provider - they had eggs, bacon, bagels, yogurt, coffee cake... yes, i had a little of each : /
L: spent 1.5 hours at the RMV on my way home from class. No lunch, not hungry after all that anyway
D: getting a haircut/foil so I'll be late, still no kitchen/water/bathroom so getting baked haddock on my way home from a local restaurant. It's very fresh and delicious
E: forgot my phone in my daughter's car - chased her for a few city blocks (does that count????????????****il she got a green light and i was left phone-less for the day. Then i had to retrace my steps back to the subway - and then walk on the other end to class... I'm counting that as exercise today lol
