Good morning, all. Happy Wednesday! I finished my interview rough draft yesterday and that was my primary goal, so I feel super great about that. I'll proof it later in the week but, for now, it's time to focus on the other things due this week. First, though, I have fitness classes this morning!

QOTD: What are you interested in that most people haven't heard of? (I'll answer in a comment once I'm home.)

1: protein shake
2: fried chicken leg! (There's still lamb stew, but I really want another piece of the chicken I made Monday night since it was delicious.)
3: Lebanese Hushwee (Ground Beef with Pine Nuts); rice for the guys

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: pilates class, yoga class - yay!

How are things in your world today?

Good morning. It is rainy here today, but the weather has been great the last few days and the sun returns tomorrow so I'm not complaining.

Our old chihuahua Chiquita had a great appointment yesterday. After her rabies shot the vet tech said she wouldn't need one for three more years and I commented that it was probably the last one she will need (she is almost 17). I think the tech was startled by that comment.

QOTD: I can't think of anything that I'm interested in that isn't pretty mundane.

2 Years post-op

Always lots of coffee...

B: Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna with pickles and cottage cheese

D: Chicken or salmon

S: mozzarella/prosciutto sticks, yogurt

Non-stop rain with flooding & tornadoes in NC this week. And unseasonably cold for the end of April. But our water deficit has been made up, so good, I guess. Gwen, your meals sound tasty!

  1. Protein shake with decaf coffee (all day project, lol)
  2. Canadian bacon and Multi Grain Sprout Bread (unfortunately overtoasted)
  3. Tuna Creations, Ranch
  4. Jolly Time 100 popcorn
  5. Healthy Lasagna dip (not sure what to dip it with) but an Eggface recipe
  6. ??

QOTD: What are you interested in that most people haven't heard of? I studied Greek & Aramaic Bible texts for a number of years; I also collected insects (total nerd girl) as a kid; and I am a true crime aficionado due to an encounter with a later determined serial killer when I was in my 20's. (Probably why my oldest daughter works for the Department of Justice)

Happy hump day.

QOTD: All I can think of is the Quabbin Reservoir. In 1930, Massachusetts took 4 towns by eminent domain and turned them into a water supply system for the entire state. It amazes me that this huge body of water used to be 4 towns!!! I have watched documentaries, gone there to see it and read up as much as possible. Endlessly entertaining to me, lol.

B: english muffin with peanut butter and banana

L: baked potato with cheese/chili at Wendy's

D: tbd

E: pouring - minimal

L/V: good

Good morning pals! As always, Wednesday is my latest/longest day, so here's hoping it goes off without a hitch. Still a little jet lagged so I'm very ready to get beyond hump day!

QOTD: I am deeply fascinated by the impact of trauma on the brain and body as well as unconventional methods of healing. This area of neuroscience is definitely something other people are interested in, just not my friends or family so I'm on my own in that way.

B - triple zero yogurt

l - turkey wrap with a bit of greens

d - shrimp ceviche in a toasted tortilla

Good morning! Good for you on meeting your school work goal Gwen!

Got a lot of work done on the outside of the house yesterday, I would like to rent a power washer this weekend and really get the winter grime off. Hopefully I can make that happen. Got all the flower pots ready for new flowers, today I will work on the veggie garden areas. I am going to make a new garden area on the north side of the house, it gets a lot of sun during the day.

QOTD-Good question Gwen, I had to really think about this one. I am really interested in the game Mah Jong. I love playing it and am interested in the history and tradition of it. I play against three very experienced players, so when I win a game I feel very accomplished:-) I won one out of three last night. I am also very interested in dams and their impact on the environment.

B-Bullet Coffee

L-PP shake strawberry

S-Chai tea, turkey jerky

D-Fried clams(fried in ghee)and corn on the cob

E-Walk with Emmy, start of resistance band exercises upper body

I hope everyone has a safe and peaceful Wednesday!

Edited to correct spelling of Damns to Dams...24 hours later!!!!!!!

Hi :)

My only experience with Mahjong is the computer matching games. I know that there's a way to actually play it with other people, like a card game, but I've never gotten to experience that. I've always been curious. It's really neat that you have a play group!

As for dams.. My mom works at a civil engineering firm and will often talk about "dam reports" and "dam engineers" and I giggle EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I've tried to play it on the computer, it is so totally different then the actual tile game. It took me a year to learn it and I still learn something new every time we play. The tiles are beautiful and each one has a significant meaning/history. The game is updated every year, so it never gets old or too comfortable. I just got the 2018 "Play Card" from the National Mahjong League. These people are serious:-)
