Good morning and happy almost Friday! I had a physical therapy evaluation yesterday and got to have cervical traction for the first time. Maybe it'll help me grow an inch so I can change my weight goals! ;) I also slept well for the first time in three nights last night, so I think adjusting the timing for my medication helped. Thank goodness. Today is a day for school wor****il the evening when I'm going to check out the cognitive behavioral group therapy for WLS people in town. I went once before, but then it was cancelled for a while because the provider was having health/family issues. We'll see how that goes.

QOTD: What's your favorite genre of book or movie? (I'll answer in a comment.)

1: protein shake
2: leftover chicken (I was informed there was a Gwen-size portion left, so I needed to eat it today.)
3: lamb stew

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: home PT stuff, hopefully more than that, we'll see

What's up with you?

QOTD: I don't have a lot of time to read these days, so when I do read I tend to read short story collections and I love Cthulhu Mythos short story collections. For longer fiction, my favorite genre is probably dystopian or post-apoc stuff. But, really, I just like to read. I don't read a lot of non-genre fiction. I also find that I read more non-fiction now than I did when I was a kid, so that's lovely.

As for movies? Um.. I live with a cinephile so we see everything except for romcoms and coms. My favorite genre is probably horror, which I never thought I'd find myself saying. I prefer the psychological thriller and subtle varieties of horror vs. splatter punk and torture porn horror. So.. I loved "A Quiet Place" and won't be seeing "Blumhouse's Truth or Dare."

It's been a crazy day already - dental cleaning at 7, tile store at 7:45, exterminator at 9:30 (mouse!!), working at home and a wake tonight Ugh Oh and did I mention it's SNOWING!!!
QOTD: I enjoy reading but basically only read when I am away. I fall asleep immediately if I read after dinner. Last summer I read some Elin Hilderbrand books - very light reading, but I enjoyed them. Each was set on Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard. I also like popular books like David Baldacci and Grisham. Honestly, I "think" alot at work and just want some mindless entertainment reading a book.

B: kashi, milk

L: leftover wendy's potato with chili

D: boloco - burrito probably a mini - mediterranian : P

E: did I mention it's snowing? lol

L/V: good

Apparently I'm not having leftover chicken for lunch because Art missed the memo and just ate it. Haha. My other option is leftover rib-eye, so I'll go with that since I won't be home to eat it for lunch tomorrow!

Good morning all! Last day off before my long work weekend. I had my interviews yesterday and got a job offer right away at the second interview I went for. It is a pay cut from what I make now, which made it hard to accept the offer, but I had to keep in mind the goal of changing jobs was to get a on a schedule to go back to school and to work somewhere much less demanding on my body. It will still be demanding in other ways, and it will be a challenge to go from day shift to night shift all of a sudden. I've tried to give myself a week adjustment period at least even though the first part of orientation is 8am to 4pm :( Any tips or tricks for switching to nights?

Today I am going to my doctor's to get a full blood panel done to check my levels and make sure there's nothing I need to be taking extra of, or have looked at. I hate getting my blood drawn, so I fully expect to be there double the time since I'll likely pass out.

QOTD: I love horror books and movies! Horror is my favorite genre for just about everything.

Breakfast- Two eggs scrambled together with a green chilli

Lunch- Tyson fully cooked chicken and maybe some hummus

Dinner- Think I will do a protein bar

Snacks- Chobani with pb2, PP as a bit of creamer, string cheese

Good morning! We are back in Massachusetts and it is cool and rainy - yuck! But it is supposed to improve over the next couple of days. Justice traveled home like a champ and so far he and my very old chihuahua are doing well with one another.

QOTD: I'll read anything but criminal suspense type novels are my favorite these days. I tend to like movies and shows like that too.

2 Years post-op

Always lots of coffee...

B: Eggs scrambled with cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna with pickles and cottage cheese

D: Shrimp (I think - have to go shopping)

S: mozzarella/prosciutto sticks (if I can find them - they weren't at my usual store though they were easy to find in Florida).
