Good morning, hope you can get to sleeping better soon Gwen. I have Bunko tonight so I have to put my game face on because I really want to win:-) I am making an apple dapple cake to take tonight, an old fashioned recipe but a good one.

QOTD-The most interesting for me would have to be Newport, Rhode Island. I absolutely loved taking the tours of all the old mansions and hearing the history of each one. A close second is Savannah, GA.

B-Bullet coffee

L-scrambled eggs with Colby cheese

S-Chai tea w/cream & stevia

D-Potluck at Bunko-tbd

E-Walk with the dog

Have a great Wednesday!

I would love to do Newport, RI one day... I had an eccentric great aunt who lived there. She never married, wore men's clothes, and walked her cats outside on leashes, but by all accounts had a fabulous house on the coast in Newport. I never had the pleasure of meeting her.

My parents went to Savannah once and LOVED it. I'd love to get there some day too!

Good morning all! Heading to Pilates in a bit then have my painting class this evening. With 19 days to go until my first plastic surgery I'm getting a little nervous and doing a lot of nesting lately. I will leave for MI several weeks after, so I also have to get my things ready to go for that as I imagine packing won't be easy afterward. And next week, my new closet inserts are being installed, so I have to get everything out of there so they can demo the current stuff and put in the new (and then put it all back). But before that I head to Cincinnati to surprise my aunt for her 80th birthday. Lots going on!

QOTD: Hmmm, the most interesting place I've been... I'm thinking the Smithsonian museums. So much amazing history packed into one collection. I love a good museum.

B - coffee, yogurt, berries, grain free granola

L - egg white, turkey sausage sandwich

D - chicken marbella

S - cheese, salami Triscuit thins

Woo! 19 days!

I agree on the Smithsonians. They're so amazing.

I always get amused by non-locals who come to DC for a visit and plan to do "ALL THE SMITHSONIANS" in 2 days. It takes 2 days to properly get through ONE of the Smithsonians! (At least, one of the major ones on the Mall.)

My great, great, great grandfather was a miniaturist painter and has several paintings at the Metropolitan and the Smithsonian. They aren't currently on display, but I'd love to see them someday...
