on 4/8/18 8:43 am
Last day of work and back is bad. My usual Hall partner in my facility called in and my replacement is not a helpful one. Looking forward to 2 days off work. I just want to sleep and rest.
I have floral salad plates from pier 1 when I am at home. At work I have some pioneer woman plastic containers I love. I will post pictures when I get home.
Breakfast- Nature's Own wheat plus protein bread with whipped Greek cream cheese
Snack- chobani plain with peppermint mocha SF drink syrup
Lunch- Grilled chicken pieces on a cup of salad with FF raspberry vinaigrette dressing
snack- babybel
Dinner- not sure. Might just do protein shake and coffee to calm down after work.
Morning! We're headed to Carrboro Open Streets festival in the next town over. Looks like a craft and arts fair, plus a lot of bike related activities for the kids and a climbing wall.
QOTD: I have Fiestaware in 12 different colors and I love it.

Afternoon everyone! Welp, last night I drank a fair amount for the first time post-op and although my tolerance didn't seem any different, I did make bad food decisions while tipsy. I ate crackers, doritos (which I don't even like) and a cookie. So needless to say, that combined with alcohol made for a very high calorie night. I woke up today feeling pretty guilty and bummed out. I am not a big drinker, and I guess I can add that to the list of things I just can't do during the weight loss phase. Not so much because of the drinking itself but because of the bad choices I make while intoxicated. Grrrrrr. Sometimes I just want to feel carefree, but with my health problems it's not possible. Time to suck it up and do what I have to do. (Sorry for the ramble, it's just hard for non-SMO people to understand, so it's good to have a space where people truly get it).
QOTD: I have Corelle dishes, which I love because they're very lightweight and hard to break, but the dinner plates are kinda huge and the dessert plates are tiny. I really with they would come out with an 8" square plate! I would buy a dozen. :)

I had some wine and vodka on vacation, and I didn't notice much of a difference, either! I also made bad food decisions. In fact, I've noticed the ONLY time I make bad food decisions are:
A. When I am Inebriated (with anything!)
B. When I am in a group setting *friends, corworkers, etc.
So, shortly after my surgery I let all my friends know that while I appreciate their treats and their baking skills, I no longer want treats or to be the recipient of said skills unless I specifically ask for something. All of the other teachers on my hallway are super respectful and they're even eating much healthier (when we potluck now, someone always brings veggies, sliced turkey, low carb dishes, etc. It's actually really sweet.)
Anyway, I know most people will say that you shouldn't be drinking at all until you've met your goal weight and you're maintaining well yada yada yada... But I'm a realist, so I would say since you know you make unhealthy decisions while drinking, limit drinking to special, celebratory occasions for a while and try to pre-plan your food choices :-) or just don't drin****il you hit maintenance that's it. That's kind of what I'm leaning towards right now.
We got this.

Thanks Amanda. I'm in such a similar boat! It's great that the other teachers are being so supportive. My friends and family are verbally supportive and I know they love me, but every gathering is still just a festival of junk food, so temptations are aplenty. I usually just stick to whatever meat is served, but booze and good decision making rarely mix! I think drinking will just have to become even more of rare event than it already was.
