Whatcha eating Today VSGers? Wednesday, 4/4/2018
Good morning, all! Happy Wednesday! I'm starting off today in a great mood because my FEET DO NOT HURT. I ran yesterday for the first time in forever and then iced them and used my splint, and they feel fine today. I'm so relieved!! Today is my last day of physical therapy, so fingers crossed they'll stay happy.
I've got a busy morning today - fitness classes and physical therapy. Then it's home to, hopefully, get the rough draft of my GERO paper finished. I made great progress yesterday.
QOTD: How did you find OH? Recommendation from a friend or doctor? Googling? Something else? Do you recommend OH to others? (I'll answer in a comment once I'm home again!)
1: protein shake
2: leftover lamb salad if there's any left
3: Sautéed Chicken Breasts with Creamy Chive Sauce, roasted beets
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: pilates class, yoga class
How about you?

Good morning! Early start on the menu thread, Gwen (thanks). I'm glad your running went well. We walked the new doggie extensively yesterday. He was happy.
QOTD: I found OH listed in the book my surgeons office gave me at my first appointment. I recommend OH all the time to people thinking about WLS, having WLS, or having already had it. The people in my in-person support group didn't know about it. Even at the OH conference some people from California knew about the conference, but not the online forums!

Happy Hump Day! I'm in the office but both attorneys are working at home today. I'm hoping for a quiet day to catch up - ha! Contractors should be demo-ing the bathroom - the fun continues. I passed a new restaurant near my work - called Protein House - I'm perusing the website. It looks amazing and I am excited that there is somewhere near work to get takeout that will be healthy!!!
QOTD: I think I found OH on a google search
B: i slice whole grain toast with peanut butter and 1/2 banana
L: most likely a salad with toppings (chicken, tofu, feta)
D: prime rib roast was on sale for $5.99 this week! Cooking at my daughter's house, with broccoli and rice for my husband, son and his girl. I'm looking forward to real food. Ate the inside of a whopper jr last night and it was disappointing.
E: rainy, foggy - doubtful
L/V: usually good, so expect to be fine

Good morning! I wi**** was a beautiful spring day, but instead it is freezing and wet outside :( I am anxious to getting into some warm weather so I can do more outside without being miserable.
QOTD: I believe I found OH in a google search and yes I recommend it to everyone I know looking to get into WLS. Even people who aren't, I tell them what a great site for information and support it is.
Breakfast- Nature's Own Wheat + Protein bread with whipped Greek cream cheese. Coffee with a bit of PP for creamer and miralax.
Morning Snack- Chobani with pb2
Lunch- Chicken breast burger in lettuce wrap
Afternoon Snack- Babybel mini, smoked deli turkey (was going to be a boiled egg, but I need to use up this turkey.)
Dinner- TBD, but I'm thinking shredded chicken and salsa verde
Totals- 719 Calories, 29 carbs, 103g protein
Good morning, I hope everyone's Wednesday is going well. Glad your run went well and your feet are happy Gwen...Yea!!
It's very cold and starting to snow right now, we don't get spring around here until mid-May if we are lucky. So I will keep my winter coat and snow boots out for a bit longer:-)
QOTD-I found OH when researching WLS online.
B-Coconut yogurt w/grain free granola(last of both and they are not coming back in the house!)
L-scrambled eggs
S-Chai tea w/cream & stevia, turkey jerky
D-leftover split pea and ham soup.
E-Walk with Emmy if snowing, hike if it stops
Have a lovely day!
Argh, I still want to go through and read everyone's introductions from yesterday, but I haven't had time! Taking a brief paper-break to reply to today's QOTD.
A friend of mine who had VSG 2-3 years before me recommended OH to me. Although, strangely enough, I don't think she actually participates here, I think she just used the forums as a resource. She's had some regain, but she also posts food pics on FB so it doesn't seem like she's very compliant. :/ I'm still grateful she pointed me here.
I recommend OH to some people, but not to others. Not everyone is suited to online forums :P

Though I recommend it, I don't see any of them using it. Either because they don't like online support forums or like something else better. I've seen one person use a couple of FB groups more and that surprises me as I see a lot of confused and misinformed people posting/commenting in some of them. But I'm only the boss of me!
