Thanks for your response did you get tested for MODY? because my Dr says when I lose the weight it will reverse my diabetes he did a blood panel I'm not sure if he tested all forms of different types of diabetes he just said I have type to and it could be cured

Well, your doctor is incorrect. You can not cure diabetes even if you put it into remission. MODY is probably not something you need worry about as an adult who wasn't diabetic as a child. But, you definitely need to figure out if you're Type I.
