What I learned in month 5, & the changes I've made

I took a break from this board. Though there are many things I LOVE, I needed some space. But I'm back, because I gain & learn so much here. As I posted a while ago, I was eating high protein, eating fruits & veggies, not counting calories, eating to satiety. And I was losing. However, in month 5 my loss slowed to 1 to 1.5 a week, & I'm not ok with this. I need to keep the momentum going to reach my ultimate goal weight of 140 or 130. I should mention, I've thankfully never had a stall, just a slow down.

Though I did not like the delivery of a lot of the advice I got when I posted my food routine, I did say at the time that if my loss results changed, & I was no longer successful with my routine, I would change my diet, & take their advice. So, this wee****pt my low carb & high protein diet AND TRACKED 600-800 calories a day. Many may not agree with my next sentence, but it worked for me this week; if it stops working, I'll change that too. On Saturday I did not count calories, & allowed myself fruit. I lost 4 lbs this week, & I'm happy with that. If next week I only lose 1 1lb, u can bet I'll be counting calories on Saturday too. This is a learning process for me, & I'm loving this journey.

I weigh 25 lbs less now than when I was married 18.5 years ago (though I had youth on my side then, body looked way different then). Looking forward to so many more firsts.

I don't really think there is anything wrong with eating fruit. I eat fruit, though not all that often since I don't really have room for it unless I make room for it. Normally once summer comes along I make room for watermelon, because I love watermelon. This coming late fall I'll make room for persimmons too. Hopefully you find what works for you for continuous, flawless results! Just remember that eating to satiety will continue to change as you progress.
