Hello fellow VSGers. I am a year post op and I am noticing the craving have been returning. I have hit a weight loss stall about 7 months ago and prior to that had only lost about 75 pounds. I have been going to the gym and watching my food intake but still no change. I am feeling very frustrated and discouraged with this. Any suggestions?

What are you eating? Give us a sample meal plan for a day or two of your life. We might be able to troubleshoot.

Are you measuring and logging everything you eat with something like MyFitnessPal?

Typically I do a protein shake for breakfast, and a tuna fish pouch for lunch sometimes with veggies and a little humus or a jello, for dinner chicken and quinoa. This seems to be my normal. I have a couple turkey sticks and some protein chips or string cheese for a snake throughout the day. I was drinking diet pop but I stopped that again. I have not gone back to logging my intake in again but I have been thinking about doing that again.

I think it would be useful to track, to see how many calories you're getting in. Some of the foods you've mentioned can have hidden sugars in them and, depending on how much you're eating, it could just be a function of too many calories.

The carbs you're eating, even though they're "healthy" could be contributing to your cravings.

So, if I'm reading that correctly you haven't lost any weight since 5 months post op? Stalls that last for months generally mean you're eating at maintenance calories. Like Gwen said, I would get back to weighing, measuring, and tracking everything including any bites, licks, and tastes you take throughout the day. Those can really add up. Tracking will really show you how often you're eating too much or the wrong kinds of foods for weight loss. How much more do you have to lose? Are you close to goal?

I agree with the others. Get out the measuring cup and/or food scale and measure your portions exactly. Log it and see what your numbers truly are then make changes as needed. Good luck!!
