Whatcha eating Today VSGers? Thursday, 3/22/2018
Good morning all! I ended up getting some things done yesterday, so that was great. Today it seems like the world is open again, so I've got PT for my feet this morning and then my birthday-month massage (TWO HOURS!). I had a lunch scheduled with my bereavement group, but we rescheduled for early April due to weather. Probably a good thing, since I still have a lot of school work to do and not a lot of unscheduled time this week in which to do it.
QOTD: What was the best compliment you've received? (I'll answer in a comment.)
1: protein shake
2: protein bar or something out, it'll depend on timing, but I'll take a bar just in case
3: sous vide steaks; orecchiette with bacon, lemon, and cream for the guys
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: PT for feet, home PT exercises
How about you? What's happening in your world today?

Good morning. Our weather forecase was so off - first they said 6 inches, then 12 and we ended up with about 1-2. I'm glad since I was scheduled to drive 45 miles to the office - and will work at home tomorrow making an almost long weekend.
QOTD: Once when I first lost weight, someone asked me if "are you well?" which cracked me up and I told them it was the nicest thing anyone ever said to me...hahaa - not sure if that's true. But probably the best compliment I can think of was my old boss asked me if I could take a week off and watch his children when his wife delivered their third child. I really felt honored that he would entrust his children in my care. I was unable to do it since my mother was in the last stages of lung cancer.
B: 1/2 bagel sliced thin, toasted with peanut butter and banana
L: homemade chicken soup
D: leftover rotisserie chicken
S: maybe an orange
E: tail end of the nor-easter, so possibly a short walk
L/V: expect to be fine

Morning all! Ry is Home sick today so Nick and I are splitting the day. I'm home now but I'll go in for the second half.
QOTD: The very best compliment I've ever received was from a trauma client. After our first session she told me that I had helped her believe that her childhood abuse wasn't her fault and that 30 minutes with me had done more for her than years of therapy. As soon as I left the prison and got in my car I burst into tears. It was so meaningful to me.
b - boiled eggs
l - Protein shake
d - bbq chicken
e - not sure yet, but at least a walk

Good morning! Today will hopefully be pretty calm. I go back to work tomorrow for three days. With any luck tomorrow there will be no more state surveyors! Fingers crossed. As long as its quiet today, I hope to pick up some hummus and carrot "chips" which are just crinkle cut carrots. I like how easy they are to use for dipping in hummus, and they're delicious. Will probably go to Lowe's and have some lumber cut, I'm building a flower bed in the front of my house. Need to also cook some chicken in the pressure cooker with my salsa verde.
QOTD: I couldn't honestly say. I'm not good at taking compliments!
Breakfast - Nature's Own Wheat + Protein bread with Whipped Greek cream cheese. I'm almost out of this delightful cream cheese. Coffee with a bit of PP.
Mid morning snack - Cottage cheese
Lunch - Quest Cinnamon roll bar. I'm feeling pretty lazy and I know I'll be out and about around my lunch time.
Afternoon snack - Jalapeno hummus and carrot crinkles
Dinner - Ground Turkey patty with some sort of cheese on it, we'll see what I have left in the fridge.
Misc - Another coffee with a bit of PP most likely later in the day
Took my vits as soon as I woke up! Sit them right on my end table, sit up and pop them in. Was trying to do basic real pill multi-vits but I couldn't force myself to take them. Went back to gummies :/ I guess if it works, it works.
Exercise - I don't know about today. Really on my days off I just melt down into a puddle and do nothing physical since my work is mega physical. I think I'm going to take up yoga classes again now that I am much smaller. Not exactly cardio, but I think it will help my brain and body.
I hope that you're taking vitamins more than once a day? Between the calcium and iron we need, we should all be taking vitamins four times a day :/

I take them 6 times a day! 3 Bariatric vitamins with iron in them and 3 calcium chews. All spaced out by a minimum of 2 hours.

I should have said "at least 4 times a day." :)

All 6 of them are spaced out by 2 hours each? I was thinking of this purchase https://www.celebratevitamins.com/multivitamin-chewable.html would each chew need two hours in between it?
