Had my first appointment & looking for support group on facebook :)

I had my first appointment with nurse, psychologiste and dieteticien.

Next, I will be seing Dr.Savoie.. I'm so excited , I can't stand it , lollll :)

How long did it all take you from your first appointment to your surgery ?

And is there support group on facebook for people in New Brunswick

The timing depends on the surgeons protocol, how ready you are, and the insurance requirements/approval process (if applicable). It was just short of 4 months from first appointment to surgery for me. I had a 6 month supervised weight loss period required by insurance but they accepted 3 months with my PCP prior to seeing the surgeon as part of that period.

I tried a couple, and they really didn't suit me at all. I found a lot of things that were pointed towards how to get around eating healthy, which seemed counterintuitive to me.

I do belong to Geriatric Bariatrics (I'm 65) which is a close, lovely group. I also like gastricsleeve.com, but this is a great site as well.

Thanks :) I have no doubts about odesityhelp.com, but I was just inquiring about a facebook group for people around my region :)
