Allergic reaction to staples inside?

She's very much against the surgery... my sister had a bad case of sepsis a year ago though, the doctor claimed it was from the clamps used when they tied her tubes-- however, she had just gotten her tongue pierced a week or so prior to getting sick. I'm not a doctor, but I personally think her infection came from that and then attacked the clamps... but she swears the doctor said it didn't come from the piercing.

My mother means well as she just doesn't want anything bad to happen, but she goes about it in all the wrong ways. She's very hurtful when she expresses her opinion, but she's very much so against the surgery altogether and said she does not support me with it.

Getting surgery done in the US you are probably safest. In some foreign countries there have been problems with using cheaper metals for the staples.

I agree-- I'm having my surgery done in my home state, I should be fine.
