Weight Loss Slowed
You CAN keep losing weight for a long time. But the sad fact is, many, if not most people won't lose past about a year, even ifvthey have a lot left to lose. It has nothing to do with our nodies, and everything to do with our heads.
I wish doctors would explain that better.

Hey, I am also 5 months out and my weight has slowed quite a bit. I also get about 600-800 calories per day.
I've also noticed that the weight doesn't come off steadily, like before. It's more stepped, with 1-2 week plateaus and then drops of 3-4 lbs.
I am sticking to my calorie limit and have increased my exercise - but exercise seems to make me hungry so I have to be careful.
Your intake looks great, good work on the carbs, wow! I can't manage less than 50 a day :). You may want to try upping your protein to at least 70, as 60 is a tad low.
Are you losing any hair? Mine started falling out like crazy in the last 2-3 weeks. Wahhh :(

Stair-step weight loss is probably the most common pattern. Congrats on being normal!

You're making great progress!! And yes, my hair is coming out quite a bit. I'm taking lysine and biotin to help with new regrowth, but I've come to terms with the fact that I can't stop it from happening.
I'm almost at 6 months, down 68 lbs and stuck pretty close to goal. You're thread has been wonderfully helpful.
Hair loss! Me, too! And since my hair is white, it really shows up. I did find gummy Biotin, which I can get down as opposed to pills. But the stress of surgery (in my case 2 the same day plus transfusions) convinces our body that the blood must go somewhere more important than hair!
I have to remind myself this is the journey, not the destination. So...we will keep on! I think you look wonderful

I am almost exactly where you are. I am almost 5 months out and my weight loss has slowed to a consistent 1.5 lbs. per week. My doctor said to just keep what I am doing. I've had almost no stalls (or very brief) and I am ahead of the curve for percent of body weight lost to date. I also maintain 800 calories and meet all my protein/fluid/vitamin requirements. As another poster (and my doctor) mentioned, the more weight you lose (and the smaller you become), the fewer calories your body needs, so adding calories is not the answer.
Hang in there. It seems frustratingly slow at times, but a slower, steadier loss is healthier in the long term.

Just keep tracking, you'll be fine if you're on plan. I too worried, but I continued to lose much quicker for a longer period of time. Now I'm just sitting at 200-202 and my body is being the most stubborn jerk it can right now because it knows I'm waiting to dip into that 100 number. I swear it's doing it on purpose.
