Protein after WLS (VGS)
Protein shots, those little test tubes of protein, are almost entirely collagen protein. It is incomplete, and the bioavailability is very low. You won't be absorbing very much protein from those, at all. In addition, they all taste like ass.
Stick to a product that is 100 percent whey protein isolate. It's the highest quality protein out there.

I could not agree with the above post any stronger than I do. We learned about this during a nutrition class just last week.
I like the Syntrax Nectar mixed with Fairlife milk. Gives me 36 grams of protein combined. They can be found at Amazon very reasonable. They have sweet and fruit flavors. All that I have tried are very good to me.
I don't know about the shots, but I drink Isopure 0 carb. 20 oz bottle is 40 grams of protein. It's a clear liquid in fruity flavors.
I love Permier Protein. Sometimes on sale at costco but also at Walgreens. Chocolate over crushed ice... or mix chocolate and Vanilla. They also have strawberry and Banana, I have not tried those. I do get tired of them but I changed to another protein drink and didn't notice that it was high in Carbs !
