Good morning all. I'm cutting down my meals to 4 a day due to the fact that although I'm planning for 5 every day, I'm only consistently eating 4. So every day, MFP is wildly different than what I post on OH. We have to go with what is working, right?

QOTD: What do you notice first when you meet someone new?

My first impression is usually based on general body language. I notice how they carry themselves, the spark (or lack thereof) in their eyes and their facial expression. I'm pretty good at reading people this way and this has become an invaluable tool when I am involved with in-person negotiations.

M1: Coffee, PP banana and cream, miralax

M2: LO American pork fried rice with cauliflower rice (Dinner last night and this was Yummy!)

M3: Chinese BBQ pork and pickled okra

M4: Fresh caught whiting dinner with a spoon or two of homemade clam chowder (sans potatos)

E: Cleaning, dusting, and vacuuming.

Water/Vits: On track

Morning! Did everyone see there are two new flavors of Premier Protein?! Peaches & Cream and Cookies & Cream. I guess for now you can only get them at Sam's Club. I am interested to try the Cookie one in my coffee. After a long and mostly rainy 14 hour drive, we are home from NC. We're getting what might be freezing rain right now (weather says so, but it sounds awfully wet to me). I need to grocery shop this morning and my sister is supposed to come over this afternoon and bring her kids to play. So the weather needs to shape up!

QOTD: The first thing I notice is a general sense of if I am going to like them or if they are going to click with my personality. One thing I noticed being in the south is that everyone has much better manners. I couldn't believe the people made eye contact and apologized for bumping into you and the customer service was amazing. These are all things that we're not used to but that I appreciate with first meeting someone.

M2: Egg, Sausage, Cheese

M3: TBD

M4: TBD, but the freezer has a bunch of fish

M5: Yogurt w/ PB

Thank you for the info on the shakes. PP is the only protein based one (other than Isopure unflavored powder) that I can stomach. I'm going to have to go out and pick up both flavors to try them. I hate buying so many though just to taste them. (Maybe Sam's will have a tasting booth setup for those flavors?) I am going to call and ask!

Lucky you only wanting to eat 4 meals, but you are correct that you need to do what works best for you. I know some do fine on just 3 meals, but I need to have 5-6 small meals. If I don't have a late afternoon or evening snack (aka meal), that is when I start grazing/craving, so the extra meals are to avoid that. I'll only have 4-5 if I have a late "lunch" and/or early "dinner".

QOTD: Good question LadyBlu! I notice their smile and eye contact first I think. Both are equally important to me in assessing their ability to interact with others. Smiling comes from within to some extent, but I do think the importance of eye contact can be taught/modeled.

Hi all! Rylan's birthday party was a success. The weather was beautiful and the cousins played until well after sundown so the adults could all hang out and talk. Ry was spoiled with lots of gifts so he and his sister have lots to keep them busy today.

Unfortunately I woke up feeling very nauseated. Tried having my morning shake and couldn't stomach it. Not sure if I will be eating much today.

QOTD: In my line of work as a therapist I am accustom to assessing non-verbals so I think I am a lot like you Ladyblu. I notice body language, facial expressions, eye contact, etc. My evaluation is not so much for me to make judgements about them, but rather so I can adjust my approach for their benefit.

B, l, d - we'll see how I feel. Maybe some eggs later today. My focus will be on lots of water.

Good morning! I find that my day rarely matches up with my meal plan on OH. I have been trying to change that, so it sounds like a good plan to me Ladyblu.

Never got to hooking up my new printer yesterday, my hike with Emmy lasted a lot longer than I expected. It was a lovely hike, full sun and not a soul around but us. The trail back was up hill all the way, I only stopped once. What a difference from last year at this time!

QOTD-Like Liz, I usually notice a person's smile and eye contact as well. I try really hard not to make up my mind about someone quickly because they might be shy like I am. But you can definitely tell a lot by their body language, smile and eye contact. Sometimes I have to mentally tell myself to keep eye contact and not look away so fast.

B-1/2 Ezekiel sprouted muffin w/1tbsp almond butter

S-Chai tea with vanilla protein shake instead of cream & stevia

D-Some kind of fish(hopefully cod or swai, it's hard to get good seafood around here) steamed veggie, cottage cheese

E-Walk with the dog

Have a peaceful and safe Sunday!

Good morning! I got to work and discovered that I'm scheduled an hour more than usual, but I'm trying to be positive about the extra exercise!

QOTD: I usually notice how people walk and what they're wearing. Not in a judgemental way, though (I'm a jeans and t shirt kind of girl)... Eye contact is something I pay attention to, as well.

B:premier chocolate

L: Hillshire chicken small plate snack pack

I about 6 weeks out of surgery and doing well...except maybe with drinking enough fluids. I've been reading these "What cha eating" posts to get some ideas...but no one mentions amounts. I'm lucky if I can eat 3 oz. before feeling full, so it's almost all protein all the time. I'm never hungry & need to push myself to eat...I feel like I should get some veggies (which I've always loved) in there, or some fruit for balance. Is it just still early in the healing process? Should l be able to eat another ounce or so when it heals, and then be able to add veggies?

I tend to notice faces and smiles (or not) first.

Hi there! Yes, you're still very early out so what you're describing sounds normal. The focus should be on getting enough water and protein! At 4 months out I still only eat 3 or 4 ounces at a time.

Personally, I like to eat some sort of green veggie most days now, so I will either have it as a snack or with dinner. I occasionally juice spinach (which is a controversial decision, because technically that means drinking calories. But I'm comfortable with the 30 calories or so to get the live enzymes). I have not added fruit in to my diet, and I likely won't until maintenance.
