Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Tuesday, February 20, 2018
High in the mid 70s here today, tomorrow it'll be in the high 70s! Thanks, climate change.
I'm making a treat for Art to take in to the office today, Alton Brown's "Salty Chocolaty Peanut Buttery Crunch Bars." I had the realization, while I was spreading out the peanut butter candy layer, that I'm really making homemade butterfingers. So that's cool, since butterfingers are amazing. I've never made candy before!
Aside from that, I finished my GERO paper yesterday, so all that's left for it today is to proof read it, write the abstract, and submit. Then I'll get to work on my GERO quiz. Tonight Art and I are going out to dinner with a coworker of his, whee.
QOTD: I don't remember. I only tried a few diets in my SMO years before realizing that I didn't work for them/they didn't work for me. It wasn't until post-WLS that I started setting goals at the start of the year for myself, so I was never a weight loss resolutionist type.
1: protein shake
2: leftover chicken caesar stuff
3: out to Succotash! I think I'll get the salmon or the ribs and split the cookie dessert with Art. I'll post a "what would you order here" post in a moment.
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: foot exercises and yoga

Good morning!
Well, basically every time I visited the doctor. I was in denial for a long time, so that's part of it. Now, I think about my goals everyday and I weigh everyday to watch my weight trend down. It's a huge motivator for me.

Good morning! Can I come live with you Liz, Gwen or anyone else that is in the double digits? It was 3 degrees when I went to bed last night and -9 when I woke this morning...now it's a whopping 7 degrees. Holy Cannoli !! My mom's hometown on the east side of the state hit -38 degrees yesterday morning. Okay, I am done with my rant now:-) I am choosing to have a good day today, despite the cold and snow!
QOTD-I used to always start a diet in the spring. When I started seeing everyone begin outdoor activities like hiking, jet skiing, water skiing, swimming and biking. When all the summer clothes began showing up in the stores, magazines and on T.V. When the television was filled with families out having fun, picnicking and going on vacation. That is when I would start a new weigh loss plan, and usually always failed.
B-1 slice sprouted grain toast with 1tbsp almond butter
L-scrambled eggs with pepper jack cheese
S-chai tea w/cream & stevia
D-green chili, bean and cheese burritos(inside only) with sour cream, green salad

E-Taking Emmy for a hike
My OH family I have missed you! Last week was crazy! I was on my first work trip since surgery and it was long and grueling with a Kaizen for 3.5 days. If you have every attended a Kaizen you will feel my pain.
Overall I did well despite not tracking a thing due to no time to even breath and having 1 beer every night and two before each flight. I came home to a 2lb loss. I also had no snacks in between meals since all snacks provided were candy and crap.
QOTD: I would try and diet every time I was forced to buy a bigger size, but it rarely took.
B: Chobani and pepitas + coffee and half and half
S1: L/F cheese stick + 12 almonds
L: turkey meatloaf and steamed veggies
D: TBD I forgot to ask the hubs what he is making
S2: 1/2 of a pure protein bar if I need the chocolate/sweet fix and added daily protein
E: doing terrible at this
W/V: on track today. Goal this week is 100% of vitamins.

Good Morning All, finally making it back.
QOTD: Over the years I seem to start a new fad diet or otherwise about every 6 or so months in a vain attempt to finally drop my weight and get healthy - It was interesting when I did the first apt with the surgeon and reviewed all the things I had tried ! Really put it out there but Im sure he has heard it all before and then some
